u gotta dremel that back piece a bit, then unscrew a screw holding it in place and pull it out...use sillicone or duck to cover the piece u cut

reminds me too much of the aftermarket clears for the mustang. imo, aren't that great looking

can you show me on a pic (if you have) where i could cut? i don't wanna mess up my tails.

the link just needs to be reformated into their new forums... use the number from that thread and go on the forum and replace the number from another thread.

i say keep em black....the white looks kinda tackey and you risk damaging the lens taking them apart.

he's not painting usdm type tails he has jdm. he's wondering if he should paint lines around each section to make them stand out.
as you can tell by the poll we say NO!!!!

nice. see, if ur gonna do it black, i think it would look better. its subtle, but u know its there n it looks different. the white imo blends in too much n makes it look like the lights are popping outta the paint.

your car was actually my inspiration to go white with it... how did you paint 'em? inside out, outside in? and what kind of paint did you use/procedures?

what if you red out the stock usdm tails then do that??? would it look better bcuz doing anything to a jdm part is just useless..........imo

^^ cuz i'm in japan, both kinds are everywhere, i wanted to do something different, while trying to blend the tails with the body, kinda skyline-esque.

i know he has jdm tails...but i still say dont paint them and keep the the kinda blackish colour they come factory. Colour matching tails is kinda tacky imo.

valo you should paint your tails blue so that they don't match your red car just messin... thanks for your opinions... i get these weird ideas and that's why i post them here, so ya'll can smack me.

Well I work at a bodyshop, so if your going to do this at home it wont prolly look that good. But I sanded the outside with 1500 grit I didnt take anything a part. then used black 9700 basecoat and then DC3000 clear.
