Bugs on the celica - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #52888 24 posts Started by Akira_g4
After washing the celi I see alot of little bug splatters all over my car, expecially the hood. It's driving me crazy because it's almost impossible to take off and not to mention i have a white car frown.gif So i've looked around at maybe finding a product that can get rid of these bug spots. One thing i found was Sea Foam Bugs-B-Gone sounds like a legit product and I'm considering trying it out. Has anyone ever used this before? I'm sure i'm not the only one with bugs splatters on their cars. What other options are there to wash bug spots off?

I haven't ever use this product but i have used one similar to that and it was so powerful that some of the car colour was leaving with the bugs! Because i had the some problem the only real solution is not to let the bugs dry in your hood just splash them with water after you notice them and clean them with a dishcloth!

Dumb suggestion.

Have you tried a claybar?

you should keep the bugs goo from etching into the paint by using a quick detailer type spray to clean the bug off as soon as it hits, once the goo has etched the paint theres not alot you can do simply to remove it. if your car is white... you could try n just respray the front bumper n hood if it really annoys you, or have it detailed meticulously by a pro to at least make them far less noticable

you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss(2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick

Sounds like there isn't too many things for me to choose from. frown.gif claybar eehh? how does that work? how do i use it?

It's basically a special type of clay, you break a piece off, then rub it all over your car. It takes off all the crap that accumulates on the paint and sticks there.

Try it, you'll be surprised at how smooth the paint is afterwards. There are a few types around, Meguiars is a good make.

You wash the car, then claybar, then you wash it again, then polish and wax.

(then buy some new arms laugh.gif )

Your paint will look 1000 times better afterwards. thumbsup.gif
