gt-four hood dent - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #52942 4 posts Started by trader21
i have a gt-four hood. it has a couple dings. they're not big. they noticable though. if i get it sanded & repainted, would it dissappear or would i have to have someone pop it out? thanks
Try a shop that will do paintless dent repair. It shouldn't be too hard since it's aluminum.

Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete...
if they are super tiny and your car is white you MIGHT be able to hide them but sanding them down and paint isn't going to fix anyting...they are gonna need bondo..which if they sand it down they should do anyway...shouldnt be a whole lot more to fill em in if your having it sanded down and painted and done by a regular body shop...just make sure you point out where they are and tell them that you want them fixed.

the guys who fixed up my hood said bondo really sucked on aluminium, and be careful about pulled dent out of it, its really soft and you may end up making it worst!

As you can see here, it looks like duct tape but its actually some aluminium repair stuff, not sure of the name...
