Hood dampers / Hood props - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #53087 6 posts Started by CelicaSTX02
Okay, so I don't have a hood prop to keep my hood up. My last mechanic lost it somewhere, and now I gotta find something. I don't want to use a ghetto stick or any ghetto rigged system. I've been looking around junkyards for some, but it seems like it's a popular item for people to take, so all the cars I've seen had it missing.

Does anybody know the dealer's part number for it or anywhere I can just buy it.

Also, does anybody know if there are any hood damper kits out there? I really like Tein's hood damper kit seen here:

I don't think they make any for celicas, I wonder if they do. If they do, I would definitely buy it over the oem hood prop.

Anyways, any advice or information would be great. Thanx in advance guys.

I was thinking about it, but it's like a $150 part, I don't wanna buy it and have it not work. Are there any universal hood damper kit that might work?
