Quarter window install - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #53401 7 posts Started by FreddyTheOthaMea...
I recently got my quarter window smashed in, got a replacement but cant find what type of sealant to use to put it back in... My bro in law that use to do autobody was tellin me the sealant you buy at autozone or car quest isnt good enough, so i was gonna see if anyone knows where to get it at.. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

dont they just fit into rubber trim/seal as a unit and the rubber itself seals against weather
Im not sure... It was my understanding that it was like glued in place with some kind of adhesive.. I dunno tho

yea at the shop we use the 3m black tar looking adhesive from oreillys, thats all that holds and seals it together
EPOXY is your friend..........lol

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
Sorry to bring this back up... I got the glue (3m uber adhesive) but it doesnt say how long it should set for... Anyone know how long I should let it set for before I can drive it?

3m window sealant would have worked.

let it cure for a day before you decide to abuse it
