Hey guys, how do you manage to keep the shift boot all the way up down tthe knob? Mine doesn't hold up by itself, the little plastic ring thingy can't sit on it's usual spot because of the TRD shift knob.

Mine is the ST20# TRD shifter kit and it relocates the boot clip further down

ok the factory one doesn't have the clip on it but iirc it's about 1" below the threaded section?

yep

Yeah I guessed TRD short shifter had a lower clip spot though some seemed to have the standard shifter with the boot holding up.

Wow, I love your (or your wife's) new approach to interior
Tell me... what did you use to paint that leather-like vinyl (doorcards & dashboard) ?
EDIT: just now I see that you reupholstered the entire thing, nevermind then, too much for me:)

My '97 ST slow mod thread

Almost all the front part of the inerior is upholstered. upper side of the doors, dash with center panel, steering wheel and seats.
Everything else is painted with a regular solvent based colour and matte clear coat just like the exterior of the car.
The hard part is not the painting but preparation and the proper primer of course if you want good adhesion of the colour.
