I'm looking at a Nikon D40 D-SLR. I'm probably getting it this Friday for $649 with the 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses.

Anyone have any suggestions or experience they'd like to share about this camera. I've looked at several comparison pictures and it seems to do as good as or better than all of the similarly priced D-SLRs. I couldn't tell a real difference in pictures until I started comparing it to cameras reaching the $1000 mark and above.
