3SGTE Engine - 6G Celicas Forums

ATTN: No Street Racing. Don't want to hear. Thanks.

Well I have several Questions. BTW, I did do a few searches but couldnt find much info. I'll do as I post this up. But yeah just how fast is a 3SGTE swapped celica? Does anyone have any legit time runs? Time slips? I'm considering a 3rd generation 3SGTE swap but also leaning towards a BEAMS swap. Or my third option is a 5SFTE. I'd rather go 1st or 2nd option. I'm not planning on being the fastest or anything dumb like that. Just would be nice to know how decent it would be to have a turbo engine. I just haven't seen or heard of how fast or quick the swapped celica is. I've ridden alltracs but is there any difference besides the grippy AWD? I'm just curious to know. If anything, I'd appreciate it.
It can keep up with most current sports cars.

and what numbers does one typically get with an ST or a GT?
faster then an sti, slower then an evo. 1/4mile times are in the high 13s to low 14s, mostly due to the car being fwd.

yeah modifed ones get to low 13's on basic mods, higher freaks start hitting 11's, 12's, depends on the money and setup and u can't forget tunning

those are 4 second cars we're comparing to... kindasad.gif and last time i checked, they both had similar run times. might be wrong though. well if i plan on going 3sgte, fmic, ems, bigger turbo upgrade, and lsd tranny. ill probably mod a bit when winter hits in 2008...yah for winter projects eh? smile.gif
slower than a stock E46 M3....
