i almost got robbed last nite like at 1 30 in the morning i hear my car alarm go off i thought it was just the wind the made it go off cuz its really sensitive so i turn it off and go back to sleep i didnt even bother looking out my window then i hear it again this time i got up looked out my window and see this guy breaking in my car jamming the lock so i shut the alram off again call the cops go downstairs and let my dog loose i have a rottweiler about 160 pound dog huge as soon as i open my front door and let my dog go he starts running my dog grab him by the arm and slammed him to the ground and had him on the floor till the cops arrived i went over my dad went over and my older brother went over where the dog had him to the floor we all had bats in are hand i can asure u one thing he is never going to try to steal another car again laugh.gif i order a new lock and door handle from the toyota...im just going to park in my driveway from now on. no more in the street

I'm glad the car didn't get stolen - and a very comical ending. tongue.gif I wish I had a big dog... I've just got ankle biters.

you're lucky, that was a nooby. around my area " IF " the alarm goes off and you don't come out right away, you may never hear it again.

can you get charged for using your dog like that... where i live i would get a lawsuit for sure.

no i cant get charged he was in my property so i let my dog out...the guy in the hospital right now he had to get stiches on his arm from the dog bite from thier hes going to jail...my aunt a lawyer she said they cnt do anything to the dog for biting him or me for letting him loose smile.gif

Haha. In Texas if somebody is breaking into your car on your property all you have to do is make sure they're facing you and they'll never steal anything ever again.

yah for some reason my arm likes head shots and for stealing cars i dont mind a head shot. Dont mess with peoples cars!

Dude that is awesome! I didn't expect the dog part! Yeah you were lucky though, all the times I've experienced break-ins, I've never heard the alarm go off! My buddy had his '00 Prelude broken into, all the stereo equipment broken into, no damage done to actual car. The way he got in was through the hood, quick kill to the alarm, and it was a silent death from there.

that's good news...teached him a lesson...I would have clubbed him on the head for his stupid idea and clubbed his arm for messing up the door lock and smashed his knees so that he would think twice about walking over to someone else's car to do that again...i don't TOLERATE any kind of criminal act or any negativity (bad vibes), especially around people i know and things that are precious to me, my celi..biggrin.gif but nuff said...your dog did good!

haha i think the dog bite was bad enough his arm is really bad he had to get 20 stiches my dog bit him in the right arm and rottweiler when they bite someone they dnt let go i read in a book about rottweiler when they bite someone is like 350 pound of strenth in thier jaw so he had em thier for a while till i took him off the guy and my brother turn him face down on the street with a bat to his head and after all tht he going to jail...dnt drop the soap laugh.gif

I wish that were true here. Only if someone breaks in my home can I do anything. Don't care though, someone touches my car like that then i'll break my other hand on their face laugh.gif

in ontario (not sure about rest of canada) even if sum1 was tryin 2 steal ur 100k car in ur driveway... and they are unarmed.. hell.. even if they r armed with a crowbar or like a small knife... u r not allowed to use 'excessive force' so like... mayb @ most u can just pin em down.. if u use a dog 2 bite his arm like that.. idunno. i think u won't c ur dog again... and u'd prolly get sued bak 2...

It's problems like this that make me angry. It has happened in the US before, where someone will break in to someone's house and get hurt... and then sue. Someone broke into a house and slipped on the tile floor. He injured himself somehow in the process and then sued the homeowners and won.

What I did was post up no trespassing signs all over and wrote on them "Violators waive all 1st amendment rights"

should've read before trying to steal my car.
