want a 6gc again but cant find a good one =[ - 6G Celicas Forums

ok so i miss my celi and im looking to buy another one heres the problem, ive found 3 great ones already all 3 hatch (no coupe ='[ ) but each one has a problem.

1995 white hatch gt

exterior 4/5

interior 5/5

problem:
clutch is bad , you can tell its not fully gripping and the engine has a knocking sound

1996 white hatch gt

problem: NASTY 3rd gear grind , i figure im gonna have to replace something and its gonna be expensive. syncro or maybe even worse the whole tran

1997 black hatch (not sure if its gt or st it didnt have a badge )

problem : only problem i have with it so far is that its automatic , i havent driven it yet.

i want the celi as a daily for now but in the future (hopefully near future ) a 3sgte swap will be in order. im kinda leaning towards the auto one but is it safe and reliable to convert to manual from auto ? what do you guys think i should do? buy one of there or keep searching

keep searching, but keep that black one in the back of your mine (but before you go ahead with this one work out parts and prices to see if its worth it doing a conversion)
also any reason why a lower price? high km??

If it didn't have a badge its most likely an ST. They didn't put ST badges on 6th gens. (Unless somebody just ganked the GT badge)

I saw a 96 GT Coupe, (but it's an auto) w/94k miles on it on craigslist portland yesterday, here's the link if you're interested. They're asking $4900 but I doubt it'll sell for that, you could wait it out and if it's still around lowball the seller and see if they'll ship it. (Oh, and it's white too)
