arite, so... my girlfriend told me a riddle today... and she almost got me! but no she didnt haha here it was:

two people are sittiing across from eachother with only desk separating them, but they cant see each other. whats the deal?

..anyone else got any to contribute? i got a few more

there is a dead man next to a rock, who is he?


there was a man who was born in 1958 but died in 1927? whats the deal?

a few guesses:

1. they're facing away from eachother?

2. he's no one.. (now that he's dead, he isn't anyone, but he 'was' someone at one point)?

3. either 1958 or 1927 is not a year but a location or place? (ex. 1927 being the name of a restaurant)

Ok i got a riddle might be a well known one. Its better when u say it out loud 2 some one. What occurs once in a minute, twice in an moment, but never in an hour?

oh and born in 1958 but died in 1927 days or months or something like that?

Ok heres mine:

You are a builder and you built a two stories house. On the upper floor you installed three lights but the three switches for those light are down stair on the ground floor. Problem is, you forgot which switch is for which light.

Now you can flip the switches on or off as many times as you wish but heres the catch, you can only go up stair once. How do you figure out which one is which?

you cant tell which light is on from outside.

Easy

Yep..uve got it.

OK heres another one:

Youve got 9 apples they look perfectly the same, same colour and everything, but one of them is slightly lighter than the rest and you dont know which one it it. Now you are given a balanced scale ( the one that you put something on one side and a weight on the other side ) and on two tries you must figure out the lighter apple.

How you you do it??

You take 6 apples and place them on either side (3vs3). If its balanced. Take the other 3 you did not use the first time if not, take the 3 on the lightest side.

Then with those 3 apples. Take 2 of them and place them on either side. If its balanced its the one you did not use. If one of them is lighter its the one.

One more biggrin.gif

A robber, a police, a woman and her two daughters, a man and his two sons all need to cross a river. There is only one boat and the boat can only carries two ppl at a time (one of them must be an adult). The police must always be with the robber (meaning he cant be on either side os ther river by himself). The woman must not leave her daughters with the man behind becoz the man will do some nasty shieet to them ad vice verse the man cant leave his sons with the woman behind.

Ok now you must work out a way to get them all across the river,you can cross the river as many times as you wish.
Hope my wordings are clear.

EDIT: also one person has to come back from the boat to take another.

There nothing said that the 2 daughters/sons would do anything to eachother. So they can stay at the other side without problems.
So first the man takes both of his boys (2x )to the other side. Comesback. The mother does the same for her girls. Then they both (mother and father) go across and last the robber and police.

Actually you cant, the boat can only carries two ppl at a time, so if the man takes one son over the other is left behind with the woman...

You've said that the woman takes one daughter over with her, that leaves the other daughter alone with the man.
