We can set up a track there. There is a good place where i know that we can set the track in the parking lot, because no cars park there! IF you havent bought an RC Drift Car i know a place where they sell a basic starter kit for a very good price and they only live 5 minutes away from my house! like i said, we will all schedule day when people are less busy with work and such because the more RC drift cars the better! and i think we should hold a session like once a month. And then when we think were good we can go as a team to the real competetions in San Gabriel, CA where we can win prizes like RC drift car upgrades to NEW RC Drift Cars! yeah the whole complete kit for only $180 RTR! the brand is HPI... yo goferris isnt your rc for off road?? haha havent seen that on the drift tracks yet lol.

i want an onroad car but will probably wait til summer or spring since the snow. what model HPI is it? is it electric or nitro?

well its mostly electric, the HPI competitions only let you drift with Electric RC Drift Cars. Gas is only optional for drifting but it wont be competition legal (at least for the HPI/ Yokomo competitions).. id say electric RC Drift cars are better because of course, its electric, its less problematic, and very easy to maintain. gas cars in the other hand, tend to have some more problems from time to time and more to maintain.

also im pretty sure if you do decide to pursue that road you could take a realistic 6gc body and attach it to the platform.

a tipycal drift car costs about 500 bucks fully complete and with all nuts and bolts

its only 500 bucks if you buy the Nitro gas kit.....but an electric drift kit only costs about 200-300 bucks....unless you want add ons...

trust me after watching my roommates drift them babies there are 2 conclusions.
#1 Nitro cars are more realistic but less economical and more mechanical problems. They are also about 2-3 times as fast. We clocked my buddies toyota supra rc at 88 mph and he said that if he spent another 200 bucks on it it would probably be just under 100.

#2 Electric is certainly more practical and easier to use, however you need like 20 battery packs to last you an evening worth of drifting. And Im talking about 5 hours or so of drifting. Also top speeds for these is under 45 mph with average of about 20.

Either way seeing those cars drift is a sight to see. They are (when well done) are exact replicas of their real life counterparts.

that's just what i currently have and am going to play with. i will eventually get a onroad car though. they look like lot's of fun.
