So heres the scoop. i got my swap completed and ran good. then i put the walbro fuel pump in and we got a problem. it wont stay running. it will first start up fine, run for about 15 to 20 seconds and die. i can hear the fuel pump running when i start the car and a second after it dies but it does not run and pressurize while it is in the run position. im thinking fuel pressure regulator for why it wont stay running because it wont hold pressure. another reason i think this is because after it dies it wont start again for 10 minutes or so. but im wondering why the pump does not run while the key is in the run position. i checked the plug and there is one pin that has 12 voltts on run but it goes to that tiny silver cylinder on the bracket and im not sure what that does. if ANYONE has any info please let me know im dying to drive my car. thanks so much
Swap starts and has oil pressure - 6G Celicas Forums
or might be a fuel pump relay like what my cars problem is
Sounds like you might have a missing/bad fuel pump resistor. Try jumping +B to FP on the check connector. If you hear the pump running (with the key in the 'on' position), then you are on your way. Next, start the car and see what happens. Let us know how that goes.

Is the fuel pump hooked up wrong? Maybe its running backwards. Or The pickup is leaking. As easy as it is to remove the pump and check all your work, thats where I'd start. Especially if the issue started with the replacement of the FP.

what do you mean jumping from + to fuel pump on the check connector, you mean like the power from the ignition. not 100% understanding what youre saying.
i know its hooked up right ive checked that. and its not leaking anywhere from inside, thanks for the ideas though, keep em coming im trying everything and i dont want to pay anyone locally to look at the damn thing. thanks a bunch

the check connector is the diagnostic connector under the hood against the firewall and fender on the driver side.... the pins that he is talkking about is labeled on the cap of the connector
Breaking Axles...
alright sweet ill check that out thanks alot
so i did all that and ive looked for vaccum leaks. i still cant figure it out. it runs for only about 10-15 seconds and then dies. any help is appreciated.
put a paper clip in the diagnostic box between B+ and FP. turn the key to ON position. you should be able to hear the fuel pump and feel fuel flowing through the lines.
if that checks out, make sure your afm is plugged in, and that your intake piping is air tight between the afm and the turbo.
if your still having problems, check for codes by bridging TE and E1 in the diagnostic box.
