It's got DAMAGE MODELLING!!!!

according to this and a few other sources:

There are no pictures of it, and it's released in Japan in 3 days so i'm a little sceptical, but it looks promising biggrin.gif

I really think i'm gonna have to import this now, especially as it's not due for EU/US release till well into next year. frown.gif

If anyone in Japan gets it, let me know if has damage smile.gif

you can download from ps3...japan version...easy to do. the game looks very very nice!

It's out 13th Dec in Japan, easy to download if you have a Japanese address and credit card wink.gif

This is the retail version, not the free one that was up there a while back.

so this game is only available for download but not sold in japan as a disc?

Yep, there is a disc version too. It's just cheaper if you can download from Jap store.

There are loads for sale on Ebay.

cant wait biggrin.gif put off buying a PS3 until it comes out, racing games and blu-ray dvd player are the only real reason for buying a PS3, FPS are crap with a joystick.

I thought that, but i'm totally used to it now, you get almost a quick as keyboard/mouse eventually.

Dont own a PS3, but a colleague of mine does and had some network problems. So I went there to fix it and played some GT5 HD (first demo). Ofcourse with the ST205 WRC smile.gif He said that he couldn't drive the ST205 and only got bad laptimes. I did 2 runs and got a nice 1:15 or something. Good enough to make him stare at the TV for 30 seconds.


Gonna get a PS3 when GT5 Prologue gets out here. Along with a nice HDTV. So I still have a year to save up laugh.gif

i'm kinda disapointed by it, i was hoping it will have more cars, more tracks, car damage, and support the logitech g25 steering wheel.

bought the disc version yesterday and it's just awesome. graphics are breath taking and game play is just as good as it's always been. in car view is a very good addition and track previews are like watching travel channel HD. but i gotta ask, we can't tune the cars yet right? or is it that i haven't unlock it yet? and how does online play works...

so wat's the deal now? nobody's playin this awesome game other than me and manphibian? so i haven't progress much, own a suzuki swift, integra type R, the new wrx sti and R35 GTR. the R35 sounds mean and it's quick. easier to go sideways and still controllable imo. manphibian, since you're playing, know how we're able to do a online race?

yo shin, so it is a must to get the disc or will the downloadable version be the same? Ive seen the japanese copies on ebay, and I was thinkin about getting that bc it says its the same... what do you think?

Yep, games from all regions work fine (i have a Hong Kong PS3) biggrin.gif

Obviously it's all in Japanese, but no way i'm waiting till March when it comes out in UK!

i have the US version PS3 and the jap disc version works fine. the download version is the same but only problem is it might take a while to download since it's a HUGE file.. and manphibian, ya know ya can't resist the temptation, BUY IT NOW!

no it really depends on your connection speed...i've done it at my house in about 20 minutes. i did it at my friend's house with dsl and it took 40 to an hour. i have the japanese version downloaded and its sweet

It's really not that much of a problem, a lot of the icons have English under them, but it's really straightforward to use, there's not a lot of reading you need to do.

I will probably have a copy for sale when it arrives if you want it thumbsup.gif

awesome. now we all just gotta figure the online play thing... and Aus, it's pretty straight forward...if ya played GT4, the menus are pretty similar so it shouldn't be a problem.

Ok just got it now biggrin.gif

Apparently the Online mode is available for (free) download on Dec 25th from Jap PS3 store, along with some other stuff, so i'm off to get some practice in smile.gif

do u have to download from ps3 store or maybe it'll just upload automatically from the disc if you're connected to the internet? cause from wat i read on gamespot.com it says that menus are different when you're online or offline. but anyway, for those of u when have the game, post your best times. for london track, and fujispeed way
