What can I do to have a nice car that performs good and looks good? I have had a celica st auto for about 8 going on 9 months and the performance is good, for me any way. I want to have looks though that make people notice my car and respect me more on the road and at the local show events that have seen mustangs (rustangs for short), camaros, corvettes, and firebirds; any help would be appreciated?

rims really improve the look of the car. then I would lower it. next bodykit and paintjob. that should be about 2.5 grand right there >>

Clean it up well, polish it, wax it... detail it first.

Rims would definitely make the car look nicer. Don't overdo it though. Remember big rims are heavy.

Forget those little engine mods by the way, unless you just wanna make yourself feel better. Go for forced induction if you actually want more power. I don't think it's worth it though.

Headlights.. those projector headlights are surely sweet but their beam pattern is for RHD cars I think..

Get the Celica GT's little spoiler.

get a 3sgte, and a clear hood... mmm would impress me... jk, prolly get a kit (not invader unless u want) no offense to invader fans just too many >> and some rims

my best advice is this: look through this site, because there is a wealth of info. if youre looking into exterior styling, rims are an obvious thing to make it better. but if i were you i would look around at the different types of bodykits and spoilers out there and figure out what you really want to get. the bodykit will be the defining element to the exterior look of the car. a nice paintjob always catches eyes too. i'm getting a very rare bodykit and then getting a custom paintjob. it'll turn some heads >> BUT, the overall most important thing is how YOU think it looks in the end, because there will always be people who hate on your style for whatever reason, and you need to remember you're not doing this to please them, you're doing it to please YOU!

so look around, do some research, save up some cash, and give us somethin to gawk at. good luck! >>

Thanks yal. Okay I will go the rim route first, because my boyfriend has already detailed my car heavily, so what is the backspacing, offset, and other stuff like that do I need to know before I get my rims? and what size is to big 16" or 17" rims?

I'd suggest getting 17" rims as well. I have them on my car and it made a huge difference in the way it looks, plus it handles better now that my tires get traction. >>

If you're into it, you can put up to 19" rims on your car without modification, but that's a lot of money and a lot of rotating weight.

yah I agree with you 19s on any car is too much but I kinda like 16s, but 17s look good but tires are expensive with those though. So I may stick with my decision of 15s or 16s

dont know if its the same in the us but in the uk bizarely 17 inch tyres work out cheaper cos the 16s are a lot rarer, id go for the 17s, but heh its your call >>

drop it on some srings or coilovers, which ever you choose, get some wheels, and a lip kit. Not much you can really do performance wise.

Ah, c'mon, there's plenty to do to make it faster. You can custom turbo for under 2g's (without an intercooler). Then you can upgrade the exhaust, pulley, intake, injectors, plugs, wires, etc. You can do that for under 3,000 easy ( not including labor). Remember the 7afe can handle over 200 hp. If I ever start making any real money, that's what I'm going to do.
