120 grit sand paper or any number close to that. wet sand..........try no to get any body oils onto the surface............keep things as clean as you can.
primer
light coat of paint
another light coat
medium coat(use your judgement how thick)
another medium finishing coat (again use judgement)
light clear coat
another light coat
then medium coat of clear to finish (again use your own judgement)
***make sure there is no dust or sand, leaves, bugs..........etc. where you are working................
I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
you dont wet sand your primer?i usually do one coat of high build primer then speckel it with a dark color, sand to show low spots fill if need and do this one xtra time to fill in any spots i might have sanded to the paint, speckel then sand. one more coat of primer then a wet sand of the primer then paint and clear. i paint pretty mcuh how he said but thats how i was taught by my uncle. i think everyone does something a little different. the more time u take in prep work the better your paint will look.
Ooops my bad. YES SMOOTH OUT THE PRIMER USING YOUR JUDGMENT!!
