Has anyone done it?
i went to walmart and i was looking at the tint papers they have,,,
and they have a pretty decent price, and i think it costs
less if we do it,
but is it too hard? i
was planning on doing it but i need tips or info first..

Buying your stuff from walmart isn't all that much cheaper than getting it done professionally. I would recommend getting it done professionally since there are places that will do it for cheap and for a price very close to what you would pay walmart for supplies. I know this because I tinted my own windows only to find that I can get it done at work for the same price I paid for the tint .

Well it's very easy to tint your windows though, and also easy to mess up if you don't know what your doing. Tint is basically a sticky film. The hardest part is cutting the tint perfectly, and tinting the large windows such as the rear hatch window. But basically when you are ready to apply the tint, clean the glass very well before applying. Spray the window with soapy water, and peel back the film slightly on the tint and spray that too. This will allow the tint to slide around the glass so you are able to position it correctly. After you have the tint where you want it. Take a squeegy and start from the center and remove all the water and air bubbles from the tint. And that's the basics of it. There will be very small ait bubbles between the tint and the windows, but a few hours in the sun and these will go away completely if they are not very large bubbles. Also do not roll down your windows for 2-3 days after tinting.

thats what i was thinking tooo,, cutting is the hardest,
I live next to the border with mexico,,
and theres a place where they tint windows and the pieces are cut by a computer,
he told me it would be 65 for all the windows but not including the sunroof,

but why do the people that tint, why do they use a hair dryer?

Dont buy any cheap rolls of window tint, reason is that they turn purple in a matter of weeks after the install. Buy top quality tint- windowtint.com

They use a hair dryer to warm up the tint which makes it more cooperative and able to contour better to the curves of the glass. It will also help get rid of air bubbles in the tint. I would personally just save yourself the trouble and have it done professionally. That way, if they mess up, you'll have someone to blame other than yourself .

yeah i think i will tint it proffesionally in two months or so

wow only 65 bucks? the place around here charges 150 to do all your windows and they take a day to do it i woudl have it done profesionally for that price.

they just need like,,, 2 to 3 hours to do it,, i think thats a good reason

Yeah definately a good price mine were about 160.00 computer cut. Nice fit and finish, looks like the windows came from the factory tinted, except from the fact that they would never put limo on production Celica.
