Engine degreaser. - 6G Celicas Forums

Okay, i been lookin through the forums, but besides stuff that is made to degrease the engine and stuff like 409, is there anything else that can be used to clean gunk off of the bottom end and everywhere else that will not damage it? will brake cleaner work?

gunk....works the best....theres a post on here somewhere you would be interested in..i think its on a supra forum..where you spray a can of gunk on your engine..let it sit for like 5 minutes...presure wash it off...spray another can of it on there to make sure you got everywhere...presurewash it off and then spray a can of wd-40 over everything and whipe it down with a rag and leave the wd-40 on there...i heard it doesnt hurt anything and it brings out the shine in everything...try searchin it and see what you come up with...but gunk is the best stuff to use

power purple degreaser at advanced works. i would use it straight not diluted. thats what we use to clean the engine bay.
Simple Green works amazing.
And it's biodegradable! Yay for environment wooo!

X2. I just bought some of this being an environmentally friendly guy myself. The "Gunk" and other products fine print on the bottle was daunting with it pretty much telling you to be cautious about the amount you apply and to not over rinse with water. The "biodegradable" sold me with the Simple Green, b/c I can't imagine the more harm these other cleaners do downstream when they go down the sewers and eventually into the rivers.
