ok..well...a few weeks ago on my way home from my fathers house the celi caught fire. I had the cold start fuel line riged with plastic tubeing and some other stuff, and it held up for a while, but it eventually melt off of the end and it sprayed fuel all over the back of my block. i stoped, looked under the car, and that fast there was a puddle and it was just gushing everywhere. I look back up at my hood and BOOM the whole front end is on fire.

as bad as it looks, the bay cleaned up great, i spent a good 4 hours detailing it, i replaced the cold start with an OEM line, and it hasnt ran better. Untill last sunday night.
After the fire, i made sure no wires were fried, which they werent, and made sure nothing important was burt or destroyed, and for the most part everything was pretty much ok. So i unwrapped what was burnt from the wireing harness and re-wraped everything real good with all new plastic tubeing and new electrical tape. I had a few vac lines that i replaced because they look like they got singed a little bit and i just wanted to be safe. After all that i hooked up my boost gauge, and a few other things and the car was running great, no problems, pulling nice and hard as usual. As im making a right turn onto a local road i lose all power, the motor is still boosting but there is no power at all, it sounded like a coupler blew off or there was a huge vac. leak somewhere, or it was missfireing. So i pulled it into the parking lot and checked everything really good, everything checked out to be fine. then i pulled the plugs which all looked pretty clean as well, then pulled each wire and started it, the only one that didnt make a difference when i pulled the wire was piston number 4. so that was the culprit. After a compression test i did my numbers came back 140 140 135 95. after 2 cap fulls of oil in the spark plug hole i ran the test again and it jumped up to 220, so i figured it is something in my bottom end, either a ringland, something like what just happened to manny. I figured that when i had the fire, i didnt not reconnect my fuel cut, nor did i have a boost gauge to tell me if i was spiking, and that is what did it in. I was also driving her pretty hard during this time. So this is where i am at now, the motor needs to be pulled, i need to replace what is broke, and then throw it back in. I do not have a place to do this right now so that is what is holding me up, or else i woulda had this motor in the air by now. Once i find a place to pull the motor, i should have it back up and running in a week, if all goes as planned. I kinda wish this happened a few months later because then i would have saved up a fully built the motor, but o well, **** happens, it needs to be taken care of, and im going to do it and GIT ER DONE, caus i love my 3s. stay tuned boys and girls caus it aint over yet
