No, I'm talking audio receiver - with book shelf and surround sound speakers. It doesn't have the ability to decode HD sound.

For $35 you'll get a piece of garbage. It's more expensive for something that will hold a plasma.

OH!!

You have an Old AUDIO RECEIVER; your head to your surround system.... Okay... rolleyes.gif I'm retarted; excuse me~

How do you 'have a feeling' about if it'll work or not? Does it have the optical in port?

I was thinkin you were refering to your cable box because i see alot of people running coaxial or old' a/v rca wires and wondering why their picture/audio looks and sounds the same even though spend mad money on these highdef things.

And i just clicked back and double checked... I did say $35... When i MENT $350 rolleyes.gif

Hahahaha- $35 dollars won't even buy you a table to put a 12inch 'Sponge-Bob' tv on. lol laugh.gif I'm talking about Glass shelfs with built in plasma brackets. lol. Me and the Mrs. was wanting a real stand for our tv (instead of the coffee table with a nice table cloth over it) and we've been seeing alot of the plasma "Stations" as i've been calling em.

What games are you going to looking for on PS3?

You mount the tv on wall STUDS. Those things that hold your house up... your tv isnt going anywhere unless you walmart your mount.
I know where and how it would be mounted. I don't want it mounted on the wall. It'll ruin the whole picture thing I got going on.

As for the PS3 games - Assassins Creed is on the list, probably GTA4 when it comes out, probably the new Metal Gear Solid, but not until after I read reviews. The last one I played was so confusing and ridiculous of a story line I totally couldn't get into playing. But the original MGS for PS was amazing. Other than that, I don't know yet.

My list includes moving expenses for going back to Chattanooga, new front rotors/pads/maybe calipers(lookin into the 7th gen), a new shifter knob, new winshield wiper blades, shift boot & armrest cover, possibly some rims, a few cans of "accent" paint, and supplies for an oil change and radiator flush.

Plasmas are great, but I can't see paying that much for a tv that is only supposed to last about 10yrs and the picture quality doesn't get great until you are at that "sweet spot" distance cause the pixels are so big, then you gotta worry about it not getting too hot and not against anything and with PLENTY of ventalation always..... but hey, it's one hell of a great thing once you get those things all worked out.

Current Plasmas and LCDs will be good up to about 60,000 hours, which if your running it 8 hours a day, will last you 20 years. The technology will be updated a lot faster than that, and I go through technology rather quickly. I'm very not worried about that.

Get the TV size that's suitable for your average viewing distance.

2slow2nervous is selling me his celi and im gunna get it befor he parts it out like he said he was gunna do if I don't end up buyin it. frown.gif , gotta get it before he butchers it all up, and while its still running perfect(from what he says).
Assassins creed does look to be good... GT4 of course (who isnt waiting for that one?)

But i'm waiting for a title called Prototype... Look it up, it's GTA meets Spiderman meets army-attacking-Mutant-alien-invasion-dead-body-absorbing-psychopathic fun. biggrin.gif You can hijack a helicopter midair while it's flying and shooting at ya 15 stories in the air... lol!

Oh Laff09, the tv goes on a bracket. The bracket goes to the wall. But only the center goes onto the support studs (that hold up the house) and the sides are mounted into the drywall. you got 2screws holding well, and 4-8 (give or take a few based on your setup) that are sitting in drywall. Stylish, but not good logic...

props on the tv. im saving/investing mine for the future.

but... pending new car, go back for more school, swap finally, finish basement and follow erik with the plasma deal. i was aiming for a 50" + as i like overkill and also looking to support a larger audience if needed

yellow dog i hear is good on ps3's, but im a linux supporter

you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss(2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick

Taking that for truth is like agreeing with all manufacturers mpg ratings, that's not the realistic majority lifetime, especially with plasmas. I used to work for ViewSonic. Yeah, I don't plan on keeping tv's that long anyways.

True on the sizes.

Got my return, and spent it on a night on the town.....bars, juicy bars, and clubs....and lotsa rum and cokes, lol....
Even if they are exaggerating the life of the TV, it's far more than what should be worried about.

The TV came today, it's a huge box.

Heard from my mom (CPA, does my taxes) that because of how much money I spent at school I will be getting ~$2700 back, so definately getting an exhaust.. Most likely the Tanabe Touring Medallion and an APS cold air intake. Maybe an Invidia up pipe and down pipe as well. Definately an accessport. I'm shooting for some good HP numbers after that with plenty put into savings.

EDIT: then whenever we get moneys from Bush I can play even more.

Still waiting on my W-2, looks like I gotta call IRS on Mon if it doesn't come in tomorrow, which I have a feeling I'm gonna need to do since I just got my last check from there a week ago and my last day there was back in the first week of November 07

Good idea since it's a TL and cost a pretty penny...the less interest the poorer you make the bank wink.gif
As for all this TV discussion...I have a traditional 32" JVC TV, and as long as you are not obsessed with all this HD, pixel stuff, why not just wait till the old boob tube dies and buy the latest Tech in 2010+ when it will be even cheaper?

so true..

HD = so crisp it makes me cry biggrin.gif

Pandelica 2.0 in progress.
Definitely. I spend all my time on the HD channels - and I just came home with a PS3 and Assassins Creed. I'm thankful for a long weekend.

I love it, it's very cool. Requires some patience though. I also recommend Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. I loved that one too.

MyFlickrMyeBay_Perpetual Aperture_
assassin's creed is very cool. i just beat it. the ending kinda sucks though. i expect a sequel very soon.

I have the Panasonic 42PZ700U. It's a 42'' 1080p plasma.

I only have Assassins and Drake's right now. I only got the PS3 on saturday. DMC doesn't really peak my interest, and I'm liking Burnout Paradise with the demo I DL'ed, but I'll have to DL NFSC and check that out too. I won't be purchasing GT5 Prologue or the regular GT5.

the NFS pro street demo don't really show much bout the game. have to play the game itself to feel it. why won't u purchase GT5 Prologue or the regular GT5? oh. nice TV erik.

Turbo install made possible thanks toTeamJ.D.M.officially 5SFTE junior member~*MuH NeW RiDe*~
Well first, the Prologue is just an expensive demo. Then, I have bought every other GT in the series, and the last one, GT4 I never played and thought it was way to realistic to actually be any fun.
