i am drawing up a bunch of toyota related logos and was wondering if anyone can help me. i found what is the original toyota company logo but i found it oriented in 2 different ways. this one is from a picture of a pin given to employees, even today. i found it on the toyota website http://www.toyota.co.jp/en/vision/traditions/nov_dec_04.html



and this one is the one i created from multiple google image searches:



can anyone tell me which way is up

woah!!! is diahatsu owned by toyota? i never knew that. i went to the link you provided and under the automotive tab it showed

the materia looks almost exactly like the new xb so i guess they must be. wow. i never would have guessed. but then again i don't see too many diahatsu cars rolling around.

Actually his is upside down. It should be an exageration of the Katakana symbols for Toyoda which are トヨタ. Notice the middle character.

Yes, the first picture you posted (the pin picture) is the correct direction it should be facing.
