mines starting to look a little dull

whats a way to polish it? and make it shiny i know the question seems stupid but i dont want to ruin it :[

Tigawood brings up a good point. But the Toyota Repair manual states that the proper way to do it, is to sell it to me.

If you want to make it shiny you'll need to sand it down to bare metal and polish it.

I have this bar too. Why don't you just wash it down with some mild soap and water, dry, then use the Mequiars three step process on it? If it is greasy and grimy, use some Simple Green degreaser of some sorts. Not sure why this is not common sense, unless you got the paint chipping all over it. Then, you probably need to sand it down, repaint it and put clear coat on. It appears to me that it has a nice layer of clear coat on it.
