the best way to go is to buy a clip man....honestly if you cn afford it....because you are absoutly sure you have everything right there...in your case....your sittin better then me at this point because you have a Gt which is going to make your swap a lot easier...you wont need axles/trans/motormounts/and all that other BS....however if you can afford a 3rd or 4th gen 3sgte then id say go for it but they are quite pricey espically for an entire clip....i would say just stick with a 2nd gen because you can get so much out of them....with little upgrades....try to find a clip that comes with the cluster as well that way you are sure how many miles are on it+its good to document....either way you are going to have to tear it down and replace all gaskets, water pump, thermostat, and stupid stuff like that, that has been deteraiting for the past couple of years...mr2oc i think has a awesome read on tunning and getting the most out of the 2nd gen motor and its incrediable with a little bit of work here and there how much you can really get from them....just like everone says o here research the hell out of it because it will only pay off in the end...i know for me...im in the middle of a swap as we speak, and theres nothing better then going into something knowing exactly what needs to be done and how to do it...rather then gettin 1/4 of the way through and bein like...awww **** i didnt know i had to do this or i didnt know i needed that....so just take your time and dont rush it and try to find articles and info anywhere about these things...caus when they are built right there are friggin beasts!
