I have a 1994 Celica coupe and after getting yelled at by a few people I deiced to keep it for some time longer.I want to get the car repainted but Im not sure with what colour I would want. I think I'd like to stay black but maybe a metallic or something to that effect. I kinda of want the look of a nice new black piano. Help me out all comments and suggestions are welcome please provide some pictures too if you could.

Black with a dark blue pearl. I reckon that is the ultimate in black paints. . That might just be me.

honda has 2 shades like that, one os called "nighthawk black pearl" which is very subtle, it looks straight black at a distance, and in the shade, but up close, and in the right lights, its got the blue pearl effect.
they also make one with red, with the same type of effect.
by that standard, i could do somthing like that for just about any pearl eric..
maybe something with a gold, or copper looking pearl?
gimme a call after 5, at home, when i have time to chat, and we can get an idea of what your after, and maybe i can shoot a couple test panels for ya.

I would love to do a black with a gold in it but it looks like brown usually... the pearl I'm just afraid may basically not look black but more of a lighter hue

thats what TEST PANELS are for silly!
ill see if i have time tommorow or one day next week to try a little somfin for ya.

Ok thanks a lot Manny. umm do you want me too bring the car up to you for paint or if I give the panels to the guy here at my maaco will he be able to do it for me ?

depending on which paint your local maaco uses, i could send you a formula for the paint, but i cant promise what the paint will look like.

IMO i love black...put a metallic color of your choice in it!!!

I think i would rather have metallic then pearl for a paint job....

BUT in this case a pearl that i like is the one that come on the MazdaSpeed3, Mazda3 Sport, Mazda 5, CX7 and CX9, RX8,

Crystal White Pearl




Its just plain sexy! I would probably add a tad more pearl to it....but omg i see that and i need a new pair of pants......

That's the color on mine - RSX NightHawk Black Pearl. It's a pretty color but the pearl is really subtle and you can really only see it in certain lights. Also it shows dirt like no other - I've never had a car this difficult to keep clean.
Wish it had the red pearl instead tho - I'd love to see what that looks like.

my paint was shot in november and it turned out well. black with silver metal flake. shines really well imo

I love Championship white. It's the color of Type R Hondas but it's a nice white.
