Dual monitors can be made with special adapter, or if you have a VGA and DVI outlet on the back of your video card.

duel monitor support is standard in most desktops/video cards with duel ports, also most OS's support it with no issues unless you have Vista in which case prepair for pain.

Its been a while since I've had duel montiors at home (almost a requirement at work though) I have 1 samsung 204b on my tower and have wanted another for some time but the $300 price tag is more then I'm willing at the moment and I cant stand the thought of having 2 diff monitors specialy since my samsung is as perfect as a monitor gets (for the times) in my opinion.
i dont have anything special. but i do like my arrangement biggrin.gif

Might as well, plan on keeping the computer for quite a while.

I just got my new parts ordered a few minutes ago. Im still going dual core till AMD releases the Deneb cores and socket AM3 (Hopefully Q2 09)

the one i just got parts for is to let me retire this one and recommission it as a better server than what i've got.

My new setup. 24in Samsung HD monitor is pretty nice.

I'm not going to post any pictures yet since my room looks like a disaster and my case looks bland. But this is basically my arsenal.

Desktop: (a work in progress)
AMD Athlon X2 5200+ overclocked to 3.12GHz
2GB 667 RAM
2 x 160GB 7200RPM HDD
350W PSU (I have a feeling all this over-clocking will fry it) :'(
ASUS M3N78-VM mobo
GeForce 8200 GPU overclocked to 550mhz
Logitech 5.1 surround
Old Dell keyboard (This thing is indestructable)
Dual Booting Windows Vista Ultimate X64 (for gaming) and Ubuntu 8.10 X64 Beta (pretty much every thing else)

Netbook:
ASUS Aspire One
Intel Atom 1.6GHz with HT
1.5GB 533 RAM
8GB SSD
Intel onboard graphics
Running Ubuntu 8.10 X86 Beta

Those are my two main ones, apart from that I have an old Dell PIII running as a server, my old 2.2GHz AMD Athlon64 laptop, and a 2.66GHz northwood-P4 desktop that malfunctions all the time and is hardly worth the effort.

So like 5 in total.

(\__/)(='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your(")_(") signature to help him gain world domination.
This is my new Mini 9. I have appropriately named him Verne (somebody please get that reference).

Intel atom N270 1.6Ghz
2GB RAM
16GB SSD
Webcam ---- holla'

TV remote for size reference.

Verne next to Stanley (Inspiron 9300). Again, note the size. My 9300 is a standard 17" laptop.

The oil acts as a coolant or large heatsink for all of the internals. It would be impossible for the computer to heat up the oil entirely. A few of the components of the computer have to be sealed with aquarium sealer iirc, mainly the processor.

The oil eliminates the needs for noisy and dusty fans.

And oil is nonconducting. if this was water it would be a different story..
