Topic #56297 5 posts Started by CelicaProgress
I was reading an article on this nissan with a seriousss drop... it was sayin how when u lower ur car u should put on spring compressors or use them or sumthing like that ...are they sumthing u leave on the springs ??? orr is it just used when ur installing them??? anyone know? anyone use sumthing like this on ur lowered ride?
You need to use a spring compressor to install.
However if you're going to go with lowering springs, you should get some better shocks or gas struts.
I've heard that going this route is better than getting coilovers because it's set at a standard height already whereas if you get coilovers, you set your own and u can go too low and do some damage, and u might need a camber kit doing so.

spring compressor is a tool to help removing/installing springs since they are usually under compression. i installed mine myself and didnt use a spring compressor, no big deal. just e careful unscrewing the nut when taking them off. to put the front springs on i just used the help of my bros body weight smile.gif on the 6g, only the fronts are under compression, so no need to worry about the back

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
just to show of... I have own picture of spring compressor as well biggrin.gif
