Topic #56384 9 posts Started by Rymaster
ok so i won this vis invader hood off ebay for $200.
it was in amazing shape
to say the least i was pretty pumped up and excited since this hood normaly goes for 700 brand new

so i get the tracking number for it and i looked at it from day to day.
expected delivery was today, march 1st, and i couldn't wait to get it and put it on my car!

4:00pm passes and i literally watch the Fedex truck pass my house. I just stood there for a second and was like, ok? wtf!?
so i check the tracking number again only to see this!

Delivery exception
BALTIMORE, MD
Damaged, handling per shipper instructions

you gotta be joking! the hood came all the way from new hampshire, and right when it gets on the truck to be delivered to me in my own state, then it gets broken!

i've already have had bad experiences with Fedex, they don't seem to take care of fragile items as if they are really FRAGILE.
UPS all the way

i don't even know if the guy insured the hood when it was shipped, he didn't even offer insurance in the auction...

even if i get my 200 bucks back, it still isnt worth as much as the hood was to me, kindasad.gif

Sucks bro, I have never had any issues with Fedex.
yeah, idk
im just really bummed cause i was planning on getting a vis invader front bumper to go with it....

but i ant buying a new hood for 700 bucks screw that tongue.gif
Dude, soory to here about that man. If you've ever thought about working at like a ups to pay for college and took a tour around their warehouse, you would think twice about fragile items. They toss peoples stuff like they have a qouta to meet. I dont even know about ups either. I ordered a tranny shiped through ups and they damaged my tranny on the same day I was supposed to recieve it. I had my tranny out and ready to put the new one in, then receiving a phone call saying that it was busted during shipment. I spent 1200 on that tranny for my 7th gen gts.

That sucks dude. I was talking to a reddaway(trucking company) driver friday, they
are located right next to fed-ex. A fed-ex driver forgot to set his trailer brakes and took out 3 cars in
the reddaway parking lot. oopsey lol I don't think you are the only one pissed at them right now.
I have had worse luck with ups but I never ship with fed ex.

JDM guy made me do it.
sorry to hear but i have had never bad experiences with fedex, thats the company who i trust the most with all the products i get online.
i trust UPS, but bc i have an account there and things are cheaper for me biggrin.gif

but really, all company's have there good and bad employees. my "at work" ups man slings crap around like he's playing dodge ball or something...

But my at "home" ups guy is really freaking cool. He's always taken care of my stuff. then again, he always hangs out for 10-15 min and has a few beverages with me... So does my pizza guy. i must be the best tipper in town. lol.

Plus i've seen a few fedex trucks parked in ditches and on top of other cars... Once on the news, i seen one sideways on the freeway, so i figure if they cant drive, how they going to make it to my house?

IDK, alot of people LOVE fedex with a passion, so who's to say who's better, just know your local reps, and (seeing as they are breaking your stuff same day) obviously your local "ups/fedex/whoever" guy is an idiot, dont use him. tongue.gif

Tough break though, I'd go find a manager and complain untill something is done about it. Or untill the police come. You've done nothing wrong to request reimbursement for your property. you never signed a document saying that you trust your item with that company. biggrin.gif so unless your cussing and screaming (disorderly) the police can't make you leave. tongue.gif

i'm not endorsing to disobey the law, i'm just saying that what is yours, is YOURS; and you should try to get reimbursed for it, rather you had insurance or not. be reasonable, and im sure a manager will be as well.

every corner is banged up, and the one corner took it pretty hard
the carbon fiber is cracking around the front too, good chunk missing.

needless to say, it's not something that i want to put on my car anymore...lol

seems the guy did insure it, so thats good.
hopefully i can get my refund for the damaged product from Fedex kindasad.gif
