I may be late or somthing or this may be a repost, but did anyone notice the yellow celi coupe with the nice engine work on pg 129 in modified mag march 2008? i would recognize it anywhere!

I agree with Nat on this one.

No offense to who bought it but Coomer did all the work to the car and you get the props for it, that just doesn't seem right to me. :-\

and im not trying to be a b*tch. its just that coomer is a good friend and that car isnt the same now that its with someone else. Not that the new owner has done anything bad to it its just that its not the same when the original owner doesnt have it anymore

Just like no matter who owns my old celica its not really the celica that i know it as when its in someone elses hands.

Its always nice to see a 6gc make it in to magazine though. If only we could get covers with our cars though.

To clarify things - Coomer did a lot of great work on the car and I have always given him the credit when talking about it, but it was not anywhere near perfect, or done for that matter. I have put many, many weekends and countless dollars into making it aesthetically better, and completely redo-ing the harness to make it run like a 20V, and to not shut down at the sight of water.

I don't feel as though I bought it, drove it, and sold it. I feel as though I took over -and finished- the project from Coomer (note that Coomer sold it to me under the pretence that it was still a work in progress, and not a completed project).

In the email that I sent to Modified Mag I had included many pictures. Most that I took, and a couple that Coomer took. I stated in the email that almost all of the work had been done by Coomer and that some of the photos were his.

I am sorry that some of you feel as though I took all of the credit for the work done. This is just not true.

I know youve done work on it and in no way was i saying that you dont deserve any credit for it. I meant that I dont refer to it as the Yelli Celi once it left Coomers hands.

at least it fell into the hands of another 6gc member. i am glad to see it still in he community

what i meant is that car will always be known as "coomers car"..dont matter who owns it now.

i thinks of coomers car like a yenko nova or something or a shelby cobra. even though the guy who built it doesnt own it, yet it still retains his name. know what i mean.
