Ok i want to hear all the stories everyone has about getting out of tickets... anything from how you ran from them to how you cried cause you were on your way to the hospital to be with your dieing mom...

I once got out of a ticket simply because i was picking other kids up for school:)
He pulled me over improperly stopping at a stop sign(stopping past the white line) and for my illegal windows... since these two infractions where in a school zone my ticket was going to be like $700 but my friend walked over to get in the car and when i explained that i was picking these guys up everyday for school he said this to me... "ok, here is what i am going to do... i'll let you off here if you can promise me you will take these guys out to taco bell for lunch, have a good day"

i was on the off ramp and squeeled my tires, and then i swerved for a pothole....
well i had only had my g5 (now gone cause its sucka *ss) for about a month when this happened

cop pulls me over and asks me why im speeding anh why i swerved so this is what i did

I pulled off my flip flop and said im sorry officer but my sandle got caught under one of hte peddles and im still learning how to drive a 5spd (ive driven 5spd my whole life), so he looks at my stuff and says well enjoy your new car and your learning experiance and sends me on my way.....while my buddy without insurance who was in front of me (i dont agree with that!) sped off incase they were after him and pulled off to the side to wait for me....

i laughed forever since the cop believed me......priceless

the best one i have...well....we really technically didnt get out of it...but i guess you could say we kinda did get ourselves out of it....my uncle and i were in his 10 second camaro....my uncle is a complete nut....has a small block worked out the @ss...running slicks on the street and a 400 shot of spray...well anyway....we were "competetively acclerating" and the cop who was sitting behind this sign kinda on the side of the road pulled out and threw on his lights...the turbo eclipse which was behind us...(of course) took a left down a small street...my uncle was only giving it about half throtle when we passed the cop so when he saw he was chasing us he floored it and hit the spray....in all honesty...i could not move one body part in a forward motion because i was pinned to the seat...it was incrediable....so we got up to about 130-140 and slowed down to a side street...took a right....luckly we were close to his house and he leaves his garage open...flew down his alley way into the garage, hoped out and shut the door...we could still hear the cops but they were a long ways off....it was a ride and a half and i dont think my adreline has ever gone that fast before...soo thats my story....in a way...we got out of a ticket

told the cops i wasnt born or living in california and i had on my old texas plates still, also said it was too sunny in front of me so i couldnt see the two stops signs and that i didnt know there was two stop signs i drove by works everytime. till i got my new cali license plates :[

whenever i get pulled over which hasen't been in a while. i shut the car off n pull the keys outta the ignition and put them on the dash, then leave my hands on the wheel.

usually when the cop see's that im being polite and not some smart ass kid they usually just run the paperwork n tell me to have a nice day being safe. i get pulled over for speeding. and unless its like 100+ (only once got caught) they let me off (once i got a ticket for 80 in a 55, no points though).

---however... i do get pulled over for random things that really get to me. like failing to drive in the right lane (raining one night, im in the left lane due to water puddling up in the right, and i get pulled over and ticketed for it)

and my favorite is the profiling stop.... get pulled over telling me i was speeding (i normally drive like 10 under the speed limit for those who dont know me) so im like uh huh then the officer checks all my lights, checks the load ratings on my tires, surprisingly doesnt check the DOT on my lights (thankfully) and lets me on my way (also not noticing the tint).

i dont think too many people on here are going to share running from the cops stories... since these cars arent that fast.. and the whole concept is dumb. even on a crotch rocket... you can't out run radio's

EDIT: actually my best one isnt really getting out of a ticket but when i had my 97 mustang gt id get pulled over all the time for genuinely silly reasons (like cop thought window tint "might" be too dark, or i didnt use my turn signal one a double turn lane when other cars go thru the turn WITH me) but cops would pull me over all the time just to talk to me bout my mustang... like they would start out "hey you didnt use your turn signal... is this a GT??? thats so awesome!" lol i miss that car
