anything right know could help me a lot... frown.gif
Thanks
I can say how I usually choose parts. I do not search on e-bay for all parts but only for parts I want. I mean exact brand, type, etc... That means e-bay is for me only "tool" where to find any part I want and I'm sure it¨s good one...

TIEN and D2 are common brands - and great quality as well.

eBay brand coilovers (super cheapos) are terrible. Do you want to trust your life and the investment that is your car to a set of coils that cost less than a tank of gas? I know I wouldn't.

I purchased a set of Ground Control coilovers off of eBay a couple years ago. I spent 300 for them brand new in the box, and it was definately worth every penny.

If you want a good set of coilover suspension, you'll be spending between $600 (ground control coilovers + KYB GR-2 shocks) to I think like $1700 for D2's.

LOL, go ahead and try em. Wanna know what'll happen? Somthing really cool, hope you like roller coasters. laugh.gif

really though, Lets see how they are that cheap, how can we reduce the price on coil covers from $600 to $60:

Use crap instead of metal
Dont waste time by molding/laying the metal properly.
Dont worry about precision form
Dont even bother making it fit right, that takes WAY to much time to form
Infact, just use the same basic shape for several different makes and models of cars, and "SAY" it's made for theirs. That way, one product can be sold to everyone.

You'll regret it when you hit a speed bump, the coils break, and your front end slams into the asfault, and your bumper splits in a few peices... That'd be fun right? For only $60 you can have the ride of your life if you do it on the freeway laugh.gif

definitely don't cheap out on your suspension.
Stay clear of the ebay coilovers, i had some on my crx and the ride was horrible.
They are not coilovers.

They are adjustable springs that you are looking at. They will not come with any type of strut/damper. All you will have is a spring, with a lock nut to adjust how low the car can go.

same thing on my friend's crx, you get a very bouncy ride.. and the worst part is that you can't control your foot on the pedal and happen to repeatedly gas it as you bounce. better off with the stock setup...

thanks man.. soo where can i get those Ground control coilovers? any links?
Yeah stay away from those cheap ebay coilovers.Had them on my 240, the problem is that they dont hold your struts they just lay on your struts. So when you hit a bump they jump up from the strut and land all crooked. Not to mention the horible ride, like it was stated. Its like a rollercoaster plus your car will be jumping like a frogger , lol

dont even think about it you'll go back to stock if u do.
Don't go for coilover kits (Sleeves), only full coilover suspension. I bought a cheap set and never put them on, they looked unsafe. I gave them to my friend, he put it on his accord, and I rode in it. It feels like crap, bouncy bouncy and shocks are shot now.

do you even need coilovers? only get coilovers if you need a really tight suspension for extreme performance and/or for the aggressively low look. otherwise, a good set of springs and struts work out great and cost hundreds less.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
or get the GT4 hood and get TEINs with EDFC so u can adjust the dampening in the car. a wonderful unit to have

I used to own a set of those ebay coilovers for over a year and when the road was smooth my car handled like it was on rails, nice and tight and responsive as hell. But since I live in Vermont and we don't have that many smooth roads, I was sick of the car just bouncing everywhere and it wasn't a smooth ride for me or my passengers. I went to Tiens and they give me a sporty feel and the lowered stance I wanted. But if you want to give the coilovers a shot, buy a couple sets just in case somethign happens if they are that cheap, and if you live in a place where you're state has a bunch of money to keep the roads nice and smooth, maybe its worth trying them.

yo bro just to tell you if you arent planning on taking the 6gc to the track every weekend a full coil kit is worthless (i.e. Teins), or even the coil sleeve adjustables, you wont like the ride quality. just look for a drop size you want and go with drop springs and better shock.

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
