u cant secure it to the carpet, ull have to secure it to the frame....u should find some brackets that are good, drill some pilot holes then mount
BANNED. for life, you moron.
It's very difficult to secure it in the back of a convertible. Friction will keep it stuck to the carpet, but nothing is keeping the carpet from sliding away too. You only have 1 12" sub? You can this. Cut a piece of wood that is the same shape as the carpeting. Put the wood you just cut under the carpeting, and then use screws to screw the box down to the wood. It should be good then.
you get a box like this:

that's only temp though, eventualy you need to get rid of the box to. lol.
Bolt it to the frame. Figure out where you want it, and secure it to the frame using L brackets or something.

i made my subs so they fit into the little space in the back of a coupe. they slide up in there perfect and with carpeting it made it really snug. to even get it in there i have to pull the carpet on the floor twards the back of the trunk then slide the box and carpet back into place its that tight of a fit. and my amp mouonts right behind the box between the box and my seat with plenty of air movement to keep it cool.
