Lovin my Sportlines and gr2's - 6G Celicas Forums

I just got back from the shop after installing eibach sportlines 1.5 drop and kyb gr2's. for those of you trying to figure which suspension setup to go with, this is one that'll make you love your celica even more. I've had it for about an hour now and the potholes still can't rain on my parade. i would have driven around some more but my gas light came on and gas is at $2.05 for regular so i'll wait till tommorow to fill it up >biggrin.gif> . the ride is a bit stiff but its a sporty stiffness. my moms was in the backseat and she was even impressed

If your looking for a good place to get your struts, definately try to hit up www.tirerack.com. I ordered them on tuesday with 3 day fedex and got them at 10 this morning (thursday). They only ran $199 shipped (40 each for the fronts and 47 each for the rear). Before i had ordered them i went to a local shop and they quoted me for $940 just to order the struts and install them with the springs >thumbsdown.gif> . i was like yea right, you know what you can do with your struts. i found another local shop that did it for $200 in labor bringing my total to $400(not including springs). well... i'm just tryin to say to shop around and don't trust every shop with their quotes cuz some don't care how long you've known them. >biggrin.gif>

I agree - shop around! >wink.gif>

Got my KYB GR-2's off ebay for around about the same price give or take a few $'s.
Got my B+G 1.6" lowering springs off ebay as well $50 shipped. >biggrin.gif>

The ride and handling is fanastatic.

Is the ride really bumpy and show pix if you don't mind.
I've got the same setup, and I love it as well, though I wish I'd saved and gone with Koni Yellows. The ride is bumpy because the car is lowered(and I have 40-series tires), but it rides incredibly well for a lowered car, and isn't bouncy at all. >smile.gif>

As for pics, you can see some pics of my car in my profile.

New Toyota project coming soon...
Do u guys recomend Pro(1 inch) or Sportsline(1.5).

sorry i haven't posted any pics but i gotta take my cam back to circuit city to get serviced.

about the 1 inch and and 1.5 drop... i can't front, i get pissed sometimes when i hit a bump or a slighty elevated strip of road (and god forbid if the road has just been teared up to be repaved) but i doubt there would be a huge difference in having a 1 inch drop to a 1.5 so i'd say to go with the 1.5 to have that extra cornering power. just drive a little slower and be more alert on your drving surface.
To alleviate the bumpiness, you get koni adjustables. Crank it down for comfort and then crank it back up when you wanna go carving
