Well i got crazy and decided i needed a new lok, well i came up with this. I dont know if its been tried before.
I have the part number for the Tacoma white non transparent lens. I wanted to be unique...
First i got my courtesy lens and made a hole inside. I left the edges intact. For this i used a dremel tool. alwasy come in handy. Then I made a shape out of plexiglass. I used home depot 1/8. very cheap..

Gluing them together is a pain, after several tries, and not finding the perfect glue i decided to use Crazy glue. The only problem is, the fumes can smear the glass. But then i polished it. But if you are practical and can do this the right way, go ahead...
After it was glued i decided to use some bondo to eliminate the grooves and holes. I put on some protective masking tape and painted it black.

removed the tape to show the borders painted black, which will blend with my door trim, and clear lens.. Not professional, but i have one more lens to practice on.... Practices makes perfect....

I put in a blue 94 LED, and tried on my new lens, got to say it, different, unique and stylish. enjoy
