i thought i was going to stay out of this one, but i can't... i work in the industry. i have had to tell artists we don't play their music for numerous reasons: poor recording techniques, bad production values, insensitive or offensive language, out-dated style, and my favourite-- you don't fit our playlist profile. i have been sworn at, cried on, badgered and pestered by the best of the worst and their manager/mommy/boyfriends, whatever. we are talking small market canada east coast mostly rural, minority language artists. i can only guess what that nightmare would be like in a large city. most of them cannot take critique or criticism, constructive or otherwise. if they are going to subscribe to mass internet sites like Youtube, MySpace and Facebook, they had better grow a thicker skin. NOT EVERYBODY IS GOING TO LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO!!!! Hell, even the Beatles had detractors.

Way to go to Nathalie for expressing her opinions, this time it actually reached the artist. Bravo! Thumbs down to Victoria Asher and anyone else who considers themselves artists and can't take the good with the bad.

I encourage anyone with the same opinion and a membership to any of these sites to copy paste my comments to anyone they ever had a negative comment, critique or criticism for. i would myself but i don't subscribe to these sites just because everyone else does.

i say "Nat for President" because she has an opinion!!! we all should.

Thank you for your comments. now if you would post that on her youtube page that would be great! :-) Im sad that i backed down once she actually wrote me. I wish i woulda kept with my opinion and said maturely that no i did not think she was needed in the band and that she was talentless but just like everyone I dont like to hear the bad so I dont like to tell people they suck to their face.

But she's not completely useless to the band. That music is so horrible that noone would have noticed them without a cute chick in the band. It sucks that that's the way things are but it's truth - gimmicks get record deals. And while this particular gimmick is so played out - it's one that will work forever I'm afraid.
let them keep on sucking - in 3 years noone will remember who they were.

You know they're not a very "big" band when the members reply to youtube comments...

I have been taking voice lessons and music classes for YEARS and that was one of the most horrific excuses for music/talent I've ever heard. My ears *might* be bleeding.

yeah, it's about her dog. Her puffy-ass nasty little foo-foo dog. Now don't get me wrong - I LOVE dogs. I love all dogs. Well no, I take that back. I don't love all dogs. I tolerate those which I do not love. But I am by no means a dog hater. I actually like them better than most people!

But her dog is a nasty, ugly snack dog. I do not wish it harm, in fact, it doesn't even deserve to have had that GOD AWFUL song written about it!!!! That dog's life is already hard enough, having to go through it's little doggie life looking like someone put rubber bands around it, squeezing it too hard, as it tumbled through the "Air/Fluff" cycle in the dryer.
