x2

it's a turboed altezza beams powerplant.
RWD+3sgte=the $h!#
i like the widebody kit too

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
that's pretty freakin awesome. if the tc came in some sort of rwd/awd performance trim like that, i'd definitely pick it up.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
Beautiful freakin car and the dream powerplant I intially wanted for my car [2nd gen just seems a little more realistic for us poor Americans] - 3S-GE+T BEAMS Dual VVTi. I love the styling too altho the nose reminded me strongly of the EVO X [Not a bad thing IMO].
I saw a few of our old members names over there as I was reading their thread. I must say you get a feel for the knowledge our members have when you read things like that - most of them didn't even know what that motor was [one even asked where they would source that motor from laugh.gif Lord knows we know exactly where to get them] and only one person made mention of the 6gc having had that motor [altho technically that's incorrect as we only got the redtop]. One even questioned why they didn't use the standard 2AZ-FE. Altho there is a definete lineage to the motor evolution the HP/Tq numbers on the stock motors gives me the opinion that the BEAMS motors were the most successful variable valve timing design Toyota has produced - if it had the 2.4l displacement of the 2A but everything else being the same the numbers would be even more impressive.
As for Scion, it should tell them something is lacking in their lineup if they have to make that drastic of a change to compete in a very popular motor sport. Here's hoping someone at Toyota decides to revive the 3S for a 5th gen version and Scion [or better yet Toyota] builds another good AWD or RWD platform around it. Hell I'd buy it if it was a FWD [obviously - look at my car]
Sweet find - thanks for sharing.IPB Image

Ah, ok. Most places won't let me on the track at the moment cuz i don't have a regular street license and figure if i get some sort of track license they might let me on some more of the tracks lol.
