I'd suggest a different amp because I've heard bad things about those Boss amps, but those subs are nice. Before you buy them though, see if you can find an Image Dynamics IDMAX to listen to. They sound incredible, and are very loud with very good SQ. >>

Also, I'd suggest installing a nice alarm system and then adding some mini piezo sirens to your interior to inflict pain and hearing loss on whoever tries to steal your stuff.

Go with JL audio subs and amps. You won't have any regrets.

Personally, I think that most JL subwoofers are overpriced, but most of them sound pretty nice, especially the W7. Their amps are expensive as well, but they're very, very nice amps. If you're looking for a cheaper class d amp, JBL's 1200.1, 600.1, and 300.1 are all excellent amps, especially for the price. I've never heard a single complaint about their amps, and I loved my 300.1 when I had it. >>

I loved my 300.1 too! It pushed my 2 JL 10W0's nicely. Then that all got stolen(stupid thieving bastards) But back on point, JBL does have nice amps, for the price. Now I am going with 1 JL 12 W6V2 and a JL audio 500/1 amp.

Yea JBL does make nice amps. Another amp you might want to look at are the MTX. You cant go buy the power output for these because they are very very under rated. Most amp companies rate there amps at 14.4volts but MTX rates theres at 12volts. Your battery in your car isnt allway going to be putting out the same volts it go anywhere between 11 to about 18 volts depending on how much of a draw is being put on it. With the better model MTX amps they will almost double there power at 14.4volts. As for the subs the Alpines are a very good sub and a nice price. JL subs are over priced and over played. Just so know MTX makes all the parts for JL. But they also make alot of the parts for alot of other companies too. Its cheaper for the other companies to buy them from MTX then to make them themselves. Just a little insight from someone inside the car audio world.

I would go with a sealed box. i listened to them before getting the W7's

a while back and in the sealed box the sounded way better and in the

ported one I know most people will say that they are louder but its not

that noticeable.

they have q-logic type 1 boxes for like 30 bucks.

my ***t got stolen a few weeks ago too. a friend of deals in stereo equip. is hookin' me up with 2 kicker solobaric 10" subs and two hi-fonics amps (1 for subs and 1 for front speakers) he says that the hi-fonics aren't the best on the market but they are the best bang or boom for your buck. oh he also hooked up a sweet 2-way auto start and alarm for me too. When i get it all put in i'll post some pic's

or if you have 246 bucks and thats all you want to pay for subs. go with Alpine Type R's.

on ebay they have them for sale. you get two twelves for 215-219 depending on seller and around 40 for shipping.

they pound and sound better than the new JL Audio W6. get the dual 2 ohm voice coil ones.

also if you want a good amp they also sell planet audio 850D's. its a mono amp so both speakers will use the same channel. it puts 600 watts out at 2 ohms. i know someone who has that same set up and its a little louder than a single W7 with the same car and same amp.

215+169=384 and they also have boxes on there for around 50 shipped as well. so 434 for a badass system. not bad.
