94-95 ignition upgrades? - 6G Celicas Forums

Okay, the ignition coil on the 94-95 is internal...

Whereas for the 96-99 it's external. (on the firewall)

Has anyone upgraded the 94-95? Or converted to the 94-95 style to the 96-99 style?

What all is involved? I haven't taken mine apart yet, so any and all details would be appreciated.

that's not right well in the U.s they have what they call the celica california emission and the regular 6gen.imy friends is a 95 celica he has external coil i do to. the st has the internal coil check the engine size but if you can do that you can upgrade the external coil with an msd coil you can find it at autozone or pepboys but have to do some custom work i have it done i might post later on.
