I got a quote from a local shop that it would cost $450 to install tien lowering springs for my car. For those of you who did it yourselfs how long did it take you, what if any problems you ran into, and any advise you have. From just looking at the article in the how to secton it does not look like it would be that hard. I would love for me and my dad to do it insted of wastng $450.Thanks for the help.

The bad thing is that is a "friend" ,thanks for the help and yes D-man your right about search . Now i just have to find a way to fix my left back seat because it does not go down..the last person who owned it snapped the little pullly thing off.
Just take the pully thing from the other side of the seat and screw it into the broken seat. I have done lowering springs on soo many cars I can do that in like 1.5 hours. Plus I didn't charge anyone anything. Well I did charge them for lunch. lol...

I iwsh it was that easy... The Pully thing on the broekn seat is snapped off so i dont know how im going to pull the broken piece out.
So the pully knob part has snapped off? Or the rod that pulls up that has the knob screwed on snapped off? If its just the knob that snapped off and the plastic some of the plastic part is still screwed onto the threading on the rod you can use a needle nose pliar and screw it off. Now if the rod itself has snapped off, I don't even know.

No its just the knob part that is snapped off.
Just do what he said - get some needle nose pliers and rotate it off. Then use the other side knob to work both of them until you can get a new one. You could probably get the needle nose to release the seat - it doesn't take much effort to release it.
I had that problem on my last car. I have you beat on this one tho - it had NO hardware for the seats at all. No attachements at the bottom, no seatbelts at the bottom etc.

I dont know if i can get needle nose plyers around it because it is flush to the base of it.
One more question. I am not putting new shocks in. Will i be okay with just the lowering springs? i know the ride quality might not be as good but im okay with that.
As long as you're shocks aren't shot, you should be ok.

maybe this is a dumb question buti know i neeed to cut parrt of the spring. On the sheet it came with it says i need to cut it .5. .5 what?
the bump stop
its this foam thing that's on the top of the shock. you'll need to cut i think 1/2 in. off the bottom end of the bump stop. you can run your old shocks like what im doing only mines are goin goin GONE!!!!!
