Does anyone have any advice on doing minor mods externally cause i'm working with a very tight budget.

* Change your windscreen washers for arc jet washers (such as Volvos have)
* Swap your yellow repeaters for clear ones with chromed yellow bulbs
* Look for a 6th gen or 5th gen bonnet spoiler at your local junk yard
* Horn upgrade, sports pedals, interior mats are all fairly cheap to do
* Look to replace your gear gaiter and gear knob if they are looking a little tired and worn

For a little more money:
* get a complete car detailing kit and give your car a damn good detailing (wash and wax).
* cold air intake or performance air filter

For a little more money again:
* replica front and rear splitters
* look out for a pair of second-hand skirts in good condition if you car doesn't have skirts fitted. Probably best to stick with original Toyota - there are at least 3 different styles to choose between.
* 5th gen mirrors give the car a more sporty look but does need basic metalwork and electrics skills

^ and a really good starting mod is to get lowering springs.. labor will be a b**** though if you're not doing it yourself

Volov part #30655606. The Volvo part number is known to fit the holes in our bonnets. All it does is mix air with the water and spray a wide-angle band of water onto the screen rather than two focussed jets.

The Mercedes Sprinter vans have a different wide-angle spray pattern again. It is currently unknown whether they fit or not. It may be that Toyota/Lexus themselves do a wide-angle jet that will fit our bonnets better (the volvo part fits securely but only just covers the hole).

For an OEM option, you might want to try the Auris arc washer jets. They are fixed angle and available in three angles:

85381-12330 0 Degree angle

85381-12340 -2 Degree angle

85381-12350 +2 Degree angle

85381-12350 hits furthest up the windscreen on the Auris. Bear in mind that Auris windscreens are a different size and angle than Celica.

i cant think of any cheap exterior mods to do but i know some inexpensive interior mods. get a can of spray paint of your fav color and spray some interior peices to accent the car a little. of course you'll have to take the peice out to spray . ummm tint you can do a light tint. oh and a nice "shocker" sticker on the rear bumper is one of the best cheap exterior mods i "did". no longer on the car though due to a full car respray.
