>Marco, will you be ok with handling all those interested in caravaning from your place on your own? From the looks of it, it will most likely be Yuchen and Xavier (possibly Ty).

Marco, I give you another task! Please contact Jason and see how is health is doing and if he would like to attend the meet. I will talk to Ty soon, but if you just so happen to speak with him before I do, then please ask him if he is up for the meet as well. I still have to go to Toyota and ask about something for him, but I haven't had a chance yet. And I know there's a few other SoCal members that said they'd be interested, but as soon as I made this thread, the interest seemed to have died laugh.gif .

No Problem! i Know where to go!

yeah ill go ahead and contact jason if hes OK to go....hmmm... for the BBQ part, how is it going to work?? After Autobacs THEN we get the food??? because i dont want food to rot or spoil (like meat or chicken) while we are at autobacs....so yeah we need a plan....also Xavier, try to find that little BBQ grill we will probably need that! ^_^ Thanx!
We can put the food in an Ice Box to keep them fresh. It will be able to keep the meat good and the meet good smile.gif . It might be better to go to Autobacs first, becuase people aren't usually hungry right away. Walking around Autobacs will give people a time to arrive and gather, then the walking will build up our appetite.

EDIT: I just got back from Autobacs (the one in Stanton), and that place was deader than I have ever seen a place ever be. I hesistated to even walk inside, because I'm saying tomyself, "dude, are they even open? no-one is inside..." There used to be car meets there on Saturday nights too, but tonight, there was like 2 cars. It was seriously bad.

Here is my review of the Stanton location smile.gif ...

Upon entering the building, I felt a cold presence, almost as if I wasn't welcome. Many many employees, however, I feel as if McDonald's employees would have been more helpful at this point in time. The employees there were standing around chatting and were non helpful. They gave off an impression as if they were forced to work their against their own will. I quickly gathered what I needed and got out. The store used to seem larger to me, but they really don't have a very large selection. I found the selection at the Covina location to be much more complete, and not just an entire row of Air Fresheners. The Stanton location did not have what I was looking for, so I had to purchase the JDM version of what I wanted, which was ofcourse much more exspensive. All I wanted was some simple smoke spray, made by VHT, simple can, usually about $10 a can. But nope, since Stanton Autobacs is JDM, they only carried the small JDM can of smoke spray at $25 for a can that is half the size of the VHT can. Freaking retarded. I had promised my friend I would tint his tail lights for weeks now, but have always been post poning it. So I really had no other choice. I didn't have enough time to drive to the Covina location and get what I needed, so I bit the bullet and purchased the spray and an air freshener. This spray better be enchanted by the spirit of an old Japanese racer and add 200hp, and play magical music every time you drive your car.

put me down as a maybe i have to see if i can get it off
Sorry but my mind's been trippin lately. I haven't had much time to send out too many PM's, and my cars are falling apart more and more as we speak. I can't find anything around the house, I'm not done packing, and I have to give my 2 weeks notice for my job right about now. I'm missing a ton of important paper work which I will have to find within the next few days. Gosh I'm stressing. I gotta rent a Uhaul, but I'm screwed because I only had planned to take 1-2 cars when I moved, but nothing sold, so I'm stuck with all of them. Damnit frown.gif. I do not like this at all. And to top it all off, I'm thirsty haha.

But anyways, the meet is still on, it's the only thing I have to being remotely organized with. Except we still need to work out a few things on who is bringing what to the BBQ. I know it's short notice, but it looks like we're not going to have a lot of people going, so please bring what you can smile.gif. And just because I had a minute, I thought I'd make a list of the items we will need, but aren't limited to just these...

We are going to need,

Spatula
Obvious things, like plates and napkins
Charcoal
A tent or A/C would be nice smile.gif
Large trash bag
Cups
Eating Utensils
Lighter Fluid
Ice/Cooler and Drinks
Chips and Non-meat items
Alcohol (hehehe jk)
Meat

Did you ask for help and they didn't give it to you or something? Is someone supposed to walk up to you and hold your hand? It's a car place man... not a day care. If you need help walk up to an employee and ask for it.

Anyways... instead of bringing stuff for a bbq, if you guys really want to burn things why don't you meet at a Korean BBQ place. thumbsup.gif

Hey guys!!! How have you all been? I've finally got my computer fixed and I'm back online biggrin.gif . I feel like I've been on an Island out of touch from civilization kindasad.gif . Marco buddy, how's the car doing? Derrick thanks for checking on the info for my sisters car for me, that's awesome. My I.E. friends how we doing???

O.k. short notice but I will hopefully know by this week if I can go to the meet but I will definitly try to rearrange anything else so I can go. I have enough lighter fluid and almost a whole cooler full of ice packs if needed. I will check the needed list once I can confirm I am going.

Derrick I have a friend that is always buying and selling cars (mainly Corvettes rolleyes.gif ) but let me know what you are selling and I'll try to help you out.

Anyway I am sooo happy to be back online and I have tons of e-mails to write so hope to talk to you guys soon and I'll let you know about my schedule for the 21st.

Thanks again guys and talk to you soon smile.gif - Ty.

OOO thanks! I'm glad you got your internet fixed smile.gif. I'm trying to sell my BMW mostly. Stats are..
1993 BMW 525i
Black Automatic, 88,xxx miles
17" BMW E36 M3 wheels with spacers.
Reupholstered interior to a tan suade material.
Ski hole installed in backseat/trunk.
Few problems here and there,
A/C condenser is seized
Factory radio and 6 disk CD changer are included but the radio needs a code inputed to work.
Hole in muffler.
Right now something is weird with the passenger seat, I'm hoping to fix that soon too.
Asking $4,000 OBO with a strong emphasis on the OBO part.

Thanks a lot Ty, I hope you will be able to make it to the meet smile.gif. I also have a lot of furniture for sale hahaha. And random 2nd gen 3sgte parts that I have no use for anymore, because I'm not 3sgte powered anymore. I really need to clear the house fast. Alright! hopefully you can make it! biggrin.gif

You can bring cervazas, you won't get in trouble. Just tell the cops that it's not beer, it's cervazas. It's different. laugh.gif . As for chips, I like your basic Lays with ridges because they have better dipping strength. Do you guys think it's a good idea to have chips and Salsa due to the recent Tomatoe thing? I was at Chipotle yesterday, and they aren't serving tomatoes at all.

I think we should have burgers, and some chicken, just cause BBQ chicken rocks. I only have a problem with hotdogs. Sausages or hotdogs that look like sausages will be fine. Daddy do you want some sausage? Daddy do you want some sausages? Sausages sausages.
you need sleep

Ooo mini BBQ ftw smile.gif. You guys don't have to worry too much. W/e people can't bring, I'll go out and buy myself. But mmmm white corn does sound really good.. if you know me, you'd know I have a thing for the whites... not so much the yellows, but I am starting to favor the yellow.. mmm Anyways, yeah corn sounds good!

If you think of anything else we might need, then please let me know so that I can add it to the list!

Do we just need hamburger buns?

Haha I think I'm over my hole "I can't stand hotdogs" phase. So if someone would like to cook hotdogs, then I don't mind at all. I probably wont eat any, but please, don't let me stop you smile.gif. Maybe if they look really good, then I will eat some. I really want to grill some meat and some vegitables. We really don't need a HUGE grill or anything. There are only going to be about 10 of us as far as I can tell. I guess it depends on how many people we bring. I know a few of you usually bring your GFs along which is cool. I'm sure we will have enough food for everyone smile.gif. As for the activity, we have to find something to do to keep us entertained for while we aren't eating...maybe we can race R/C cars hahaha laugh.gif .
hmm...i can bring a foot ball n hackysack....well they have a playground there so that will be r entertainment for a while..
football n hackysack ftw!!

Pandelica 2.0 in progress.
Alright! Hackysack and football sound awesome!

Do we even take SoCal meet pictures anymore? Haha I'm kind of tired of posting pictures on 6gc.net since the only people who comment them are us SoCal guys anyways hahaha.

How long do you think it will take you to get to Marco's house after work? My friend Jenn has to work until 4pm that day too. but will meet up with us later, so you both are in the same boat (except she works further away).
Hey, it looks like I can make it to this BBQ (just for a little while, anyways). Wedding is at 8AM and reception is at 5pm...so there's a gap in between. I can hang out with you guys in my tuxedo tongue.gif so no hackysack or football for me (but I can keep score like no one's business).

While I'm there, maybe I can get some of you guys to help me out with a little "project" of mine. I need some video shots of our cars, interior, outside shots, poses, etc (I plan make a music video). Night time shots would have been better, but w/e. I don't have a good camera anyways, so I'll take what I can get tongue.gif

2002 SC430 (WC) - 19" SSR Comp-H, Daizen swaybars, Sparco Demons, JDM Soarer conversion, carbon fiber spoiler, Injen intake, front strut bar, drilled/slotted Brembo rotors1997 Celica ST (DD) - 17" ADR, ViS Zyclone CF hood, ViS CF hatch, K&N intake, Invader body kit
well, to marco's after my work

according to maps.google.com

16.7 mi – about 21 mins
up to 30 mins in traffic

so around 4:30pm-4:40pm i should arrive at Marco's place smile.gif

thats given that i do not stop for gas (if i need it, at around .5-.75 of a tank)

are we going to autobacs? perhaps i'm a bit out of the loop or just plumb forgot redface.gif

hmm... wow lets see....we can somehow start the BBQ when Xavier gets here. does that sound good with everybody?? so in the meantime we can still take some photos and rearanging the cars for better shots and other stuff and help NAm get the Music Video started, like he said...we can also eat chips and drink sodas, non-sodas while at-it. so lets start the BBQ like at 5 ...well call it the "Dinnertime" BBQ lol..... but yeah anyways the park closes like at 8pm. so we gotz lots of time!
