i know that my stock ones on the gt are puny, (4mm i believe) i was wondering if anyone who had them noticed any difference with them?

Not much. There only come into play when using a new igntion unit which carries alot of voltage.

Either way, not much.

BUT try Nology Hotwires which are like little iginiton units.

You will feel the difference.

WOW!! OUR OWN FORUM BOARD!! (I`ve been missing ) I have had my Nology Hotwires since the start of summer. Have noticed a little increase.They are 8mm.I`m sure the more mods you have the better things would be. these pups aren`t cheap 425.00 cdn/???u.s

Nology HotWires are capacitive wires. There are like Capacitive Discharge units. In other words, CD Ignition units on a small scale.

An Ignition unit is made to ignition mixture that stock ignition cannot handle.

You see, first of all, your engine might be running lean.; so you might not notice much since you might be having complete combustion already.

Wait.

1) Have you car properly tune with new spark plugs.

2) Install A/F Guage. Check ratio. Adjust ratio for stio. or a little rich.

3) Drive and see how the car performs with different ratios. Pic the best and see how your car performs.

4) Install the nology wires.

Nology will be producing a bigger spark than what you were getting before with stock. It can ignite a more richer mixture than stock ignition.

Remember that a good mix. require fuel and air (intake).

5) Adjust fuel mixture for optimum results. You can also advance the timing by 2-8 degree or more.

With these little things and others, the nology Hotwires will really work for you.

With more mods like CraneCam HI6 TRC + Nology M80 coil, you will be rocking.

Just to add for sport, a header, high flow Cat, proper muffler like MagnaFlow, HKS and so on, you might:confused: just catch that GT if you have a ST.

Remember your aim.

just get some denso performance wires. that was the very first thing that i got for my car. wires arent cheap for celicas because not many people make them. forget all the settings bs, slap those babies on and have some fun. remember, we arent in the LeMans or Nascar, we have Celicas!!!

I've heard time and time again from knowledgable people that Nology Hotwires are crap. Now, I know how they work, and theoretically it seems like a good idea. But in reality the cost far outweighs the benefits, or so I hear.

Personally I would just go with a cheapie set of NGK replacements (~20) or do the whole nine yards MSD wires (~160) and ignition system (~200).

DO NOT , i reapeat, do not buy ngk **** wires for your car! they'll pull right outta the boot when you go to change your plugs,...trust me, they suck..if your gonna go for perfor. wires throw down for the best:

I had ngks on my 5sfe and I had one of the boots get stuck... Sat there for about 6 months.... finally got it out when I had my P&P done... then blew my engine 2 weeks later.... really sucked >>

No complaints hereon the nology.

Low resistnace comes in when running very high voltage like in drag racing.

We do not get any where there with normal ignition units.

Either way, the nology wires, in my opinion worth it since it is a small CD unit. The more you put in, the more you get out.[CODE]

neverstop, i acutally got lucky, i got a toyo dealer 4 blocks away..drove it over on 3 cylinders and a guy pulled it out with a long ass pair of needle nose pliers..then repaired the wire temporaraliy for me..<<really lucky...
anyways, he's like " dude, never buy these **** wires ( his words..lol) better off with toyo's for $30 more, they're supossed to last 100,000 miles.."
will the toyota's really last that long? i dont know, but i'll pay the extra $$ b-4 i go through that bull**** again! >>

forgot to say youll feel some difference out of performance plugs when you put them in but it seems to waera down after 100-200 miles!

Really lucky is right... the long needle nose pliers didn't work on mine... Tried to break the rubber boot apart with long picks and stuff like that then tried to vaccum out the pieces with a shop vac and a straw.... it kinda worked and was able to run all cylinders but the plug would come loose if I hit a bump too hard... was not one of my best moments.....

as for your car lasting that long... hell yes it will... as long as you take car of it... I have seen hondas with over 500,000 miles on them that still sound and run good. Imports are built to last.. which is funny cuz in japan you don't drive a car with over 30,000 miles on it cuz emissions or so strict. and then you got domestic cars that last 100,000 if your lucky and we will try and drive them until there is nothing left... the USDM should just trade witht the JDM

oh i know the car will last that long i've got 125000+ miles on it already >> i love my celica!! but i dont know if the OEM wires will last long....
