My name is Ronan, im from Limerick in Ireland and i drive a '98 Celica SS-III.

Super Strut Suspension
Kakimoto Cat Back
Drilled and Grooved front Disks
Induction Kit
Alloy Oil Cap
17" BSA Alloys 215cm but have a set of 16" Enkei RP-F1s ordered to improve handling. 6.2kg per wheel! smile.gif
Pivot Rev Clock (might remove it, although it looks well at night)
Fog Light fitted under Rear Bumper (legal requirement)
Standard front and rear strut braces. Rear has a Black cover witch looks sweet
Red Sparco Gear Knob

Mods to follow for now:
Apexi Air intake plus some sort of cold air feed
buddy Club race Spc condensor
NGKR Platinum Plugs
Upgraded Plug Leads
TRD 1.3bar Rad Cap
Stiffer Suspension (type undecided)
Better break Pads

Car was imported from Japan in 07, Spent a year in England then i went over and brought it back. Also i removed the Blitz stickers.

I previously had a '98 Toyota Levin BZR (4AGE Blacktop 1.6 20 valve, also had Super Strut suspension) but sold it as i ran out of things to do to it biggrin.gif

Beautiful car. This is the FIRST red colored SS-III I've ever seen. Hot as hell. Love it!

welcome...I love levins wish we had them over here. And loving the SS-III too.
Look at those curves, this is a fine example of sexiness. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the comments lads smile.gif Ya i really like the red. Its darker then most, kind of a blood red.
And i agree about the curves. You can really see how the Celica is the Supras baby brother. Interior:

Very nice car bro. I want that engine! Welcome to the site hope you enjoy your new ride.
btw, your surname isn't Keating is it? laugh.gif

It's staggering how many Beams there are in Eire.

I think you guys have most of them.

Hi how ya doin ? how do i tell if mine is a SS-III??? where do you get your spares from?
i'm very jealous ronan!! welcome to the site. the ssiii is sweet so is the levin. i wish we had either in the states but we got the short end of the cool vehicle stick frown.gif
that's not the stock color is it? it looks like it's been painted at one time (emblems on the spoiler blocks aren't in the stock location) lookin good in red. as far as i know the beams ssiii only came stock in silver, black, and white (most commonly white)

welcome to the site as well wink.gif
there are a couple ways to tell. i had a link to a japanese site that listed them but the link isn't working right now for some reason. there are a couple things that would determine. motor, suspension type, etc....
surprising not all ssiii celicas have the beams. take stetsonaw for example. his is an ssiii but it only has the normal 3sge motor but it has the climate control unit, superstrut suspension, front and rear strut bars and other things. the 98-99 ssiii is the best though. that's when they introduced the beams motor.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
It is the standard colour but yes it was treated to a full respray recently. Importing in ireland is very common at this stage. part of the reason for selling the levin is that they're very common now and nearly all are white.

Heres a link to another red one: http://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/Toyota/Cel...S-TUNED/994422/

heres an example of the amount of levins on our roads:

it has climate control

look closely wink.gif

It has A/C and E/C. Ill get it dyno'd after i decat it and fit one or two things. Im running it on 99.5 octane petrol that was released over here as its saver for the environment (but thats not why i use it wink.gif) basically regular petrol with 5% bio-ethanol that can be bought off the pump at the same price as regular. Just like the levin it would loose power on regular 95 since they're mapped for Jap 100 octane.

Seriously sweet ride you have there, though. What is the deal with the best models never being sent to the states? kindasad.gif

ha thanks and the answer to your question is... Geography biggrin.gif The best models were never sent to Ireland either, all imported privately and sometimes by garages. japanese import is a phrase very common in ireland since the eighthies. usually Toyotas and usually a sign of low mileage and great condition.

At least you guys can import!!! We can't get the ST205 until the ST205's are 25 years old or something!

Its my brothers. I drive it the odd time but didnt buy one because id probably loose my license tongue.gif swinging the arse out is too much fun biggrin.gif

Its an English 200SX (S14A). Better spec then the jap ones. Come with full cream leather interior CD changer and an LSD with an attched oil cooler as standard.

After getting lost for over a month somehere between Japan and Ireland my new wheels have finally arrived.

Enkei Rp-F1 16x7 205/50 tyres. ET 35 with 5mm spacer on the rear.

6.2kg each, heavier with the tyre but still a good bit lighter then the 17" ones i removed.
Steering response has improved leaps and bounds with the light 16" compared to the 17" wheels. Plus it frames the brakes alot better. brakes are alot more snug then they look in the picture, fill the wheel nicely.

Rough pictures but ye get the idea. What do ye think?
