Hey guys/girls,

I just joined 6GC not to long ago and just wanted to introduce myself here. I just got my 1997 GT about 3 months ago and just recently found out about this site from a buddy on newcelica.net. I also have a 2000 GT, but had an accident with her about 9-10 months ago and my dad just found a donor front clip and A-pillar that we needed to get the car back on the road. I'm pretty new about this gen of celica, and found out about the SS-III model that was never introduced in the US unfortunately, and I'm looking into getting the GT-4 style wing, and the SS-III lip kits for front and back, I think they'd look kick ass on the car, and it would still remain clean and "stock" lol. I also like the clear side marker lights, and JDM headlights...unfortunately these parts are pretty expensive and kinda hard to find out there on the internet, I know some of you peeps sell those parts on this site so thats awesome! Well heres a few pics of it, and a couple pics of my 2000 before the accident...

Seeing as your big on looks, surf the stickys a bit, and the "how to" section, located on the main page. there are some good starter ideas there. Plus, as you go thru the forums, you'll find additional mod's and tricks to kick it up a bit

As for the auto, manuals not for everyone. But I do recommend you learn to drive stick sometime to see if it is for you, it's an experience.

Yeah, I'd definitely try it if I had the chance...None of my friends have manuals, and there not into these kind of cars they call me rice for it but w/e I love em and nothing is going to change that. Theres no one else I know that has a manual vehicle I know besides one of my friends mom, which I highly dought I'd get to use her car to learn to drive stick lol!!

Just hear to say nice car and I like your plans for the car. The JDM lights (head and tails) and Spoiler blocks can be easily found on Ebay, but you will find them cheaper on here used from members. You have a good start being a 97 GT - sideskirts, facelifted bumper w/ fog lights, and less common color. Good luck!

wow i just noticed US celicas have different fender indicators than ours and it's in a different place

LOL, you never noticed that? I noticed that as soon as I looked around at celicas from other celi sites too, and google of coarse lol. PS I like your indicators and the placement better...
