Lets say we mount a supercharger like this one in the celica running off an accessory belt. supercharger

what does those vaccuum lines and hoses do?
i think those are oil lines

SC's are lubricated with oil just like turbos

if that is a SC12 or SC14, which it looks like, then the oil is self contained, and those are vaccum lines. takes a special supercharger oil. >smile.gif>

The vacuum lines most likely fit to either the manifold or head of the motor.

I reckon you'd be better off going for a

type SC and modifying it to run off the crankshaft drive pulley with custom piping.

As I do not have AC this is what I'm thinking of doing.

i think a supercharger on a 7a-fe or 5s-fe would not be cost effective.

most of them cost around $2,000 or more. you can get a 4agze clip for around 1500.

you can get a st185 clip for 1500

the wiring send to mike at topshelfracing.com Aim screename Qatar11 he will do it for 450.

back from the dead..

I think i really am gonna do it.

I think i'm gonna make a custom bracket to mount the SC12 supercharger from a 4agze on the 7afe.

You ask me why? well the sc12 is cheap. It has a built in bypass valve to ensure you dont boost past 8psi. Its has a clutch so it can be spinning freely when you are driving normally.

Anyone have any comments?
