Topic #59254 10 posts Started by TJH4EVA
my air condition is lacking now and i need to recharge it what do i need to go about this and how do i do so
Go to your local auto parts store and pick up some refrigerant with a dispenser, like one of the first two shown here. Shouldnt cost more than 15 bucks or so. Start up your car, turn the A/C all the way up, and connect it to the Low pressure AC line. Its the larger of the two metal pipes on the left side of your engine bay that run from the firewall to the compressor. There should be a cap with an "L" on it close to the firewall; pop it off and connect the line there. Fill it up until the guage says you're good thumbsup.gif
^Perfect^

But just to emphasize, LOW PRESSURE VALVE. you dont wanna hook it up to your high pressure, that's a no-no. wink.gif Hook it up to the FAT line, not the skinny smile.gif

Enjoy you summer tongue.gif

well i finally got around to recharging my refrierant and when i put the guage to it it said it was full. what could be the problem now?
and the gauge read full? But it's still not blowing cold?

You may have a leak somewhere... Go and re-gauge it, see if it's still full; we'll take our next step from there.
