Lets talk manifolds - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #59263 15 posts Started by 3WayStunna
Hey all...right now im in the market for parts, and i am looking to put my investments into a new manifold for the 3rd gen 3sgte. So far i have found two options, with one being the XS power manifold, and the japspeed manifold.

Firstly, does anyone run these on their own engines, and if so, how is the quality. The XS power looks good, but i havfe my doubts. Nextly, how about fitament, for those who do have them also. Do you have to run after market oil lines etc. because the position of the turbo has changed.

Well anywho, i hope to get some good opinions and such. thanks and here are the links to the manifolds in question.

Both of those are 110% pure trash.

thanks for your opinion lagos, but why do you say they are trash, and also, what other manifolds would you reccommend then..lol, im use to fiddling around with SR20's and such, and likewise use to the aftermarket support it carries, so if there are other options out there then please post it up.

Its cheap junk made in china. All they do is crack and heatsoak your engine bay.
The stock 3s manifold is the only one you need. It has been proven to work perfectly on 600hp mr2's, and it will more then suit your needs.

a good manifold will cost around $1000.

Hmm, on another note, i see where you are going, but replacing the stock exhaust is also always proven to increase HP, which is the general idea right? And if anything an aftermarket manifold is also good for more than jsut straight out power...

Hmmm, anywho, other than not investing in a manifold what other options are out there?

Get a downpipe, exhaust and boost controller. After that, upgrade the turbo.

im waiting for this manifold from KO racing to be produced for consumers.

starts at $1000, but will increase performance.
