I actually quite like that. Nicer than the Subaru/Toyota pics that have been floating around recently. Shape isn't too dissimilar to the Celica either. A 3 door 2+2 coupe version (SC-F?) with a lower, more sweeping upper line could be very interesting:

as much as i loved the fact that toyota is trying to get back into the game
the isf is a failure.
ive driven it..on the track...and was completely disappointed.
it still needs many improvements before it can keep up with the germans

imho its a step in the right direction, for a first attempt its not bad, but it definatly leaves room for improvment.

ive driven it also, it was a dissapointment, but remember lexus was making it luxury with power at hand as a tiny part of that luxury......

agreed. the moment i heard about this car i shook my head.
hopefully with some help from a real performance company aka subaru, toyota will start heading in the right direction.
a failure/disappointment compared to what? lol.
i test drove it in the city and on the highway and it was awesome. sounds like you guys didn't drive it right. no offense, i know it's your opinion but i think it's an awesome car. couldn't find anything wrong with it.

one said he drove it on a track, so if he's driven many other cars as well, i could understand that.
for the other guy, not so much
the IS-F is a nice car, but the new M3 is incredible.
Sadly, the IS-F can't compete with the RS, M, or those yet on a course.
but i LOVE the IS-F's transmission...

the transmission is what makes a lexus a lexus! lol
hope you aren't referring to the tranny being too smooth 
there's different modes for it, and one allows the 7speed to shift in a quarter of the time of the is350

I've seen a IS-F in person too, and I would buy one in a heartbeat if I was rich. Screw the minimal edge you might get from the handling edge of an M3 or Audi. Are we all going to the track and racing our luxury sedans against other executives? No, most are buying these vehicles and don't know crap about cars, but just that they are "keeping up with the joneses" and don't utilize or appreciate the full capabilities of these cars.

it was the infield track at california speedway...err autoclub speedway...whatever the hell they call it now
and i agree dont take my word for it...im just speaking from experience....to some people this car may be the best thing in motoring history...to others not so much.
you need to try it for yourself.

Ugly as sin, and can't compete with Audi or BMW. And for that price? Faceplant failure again by Toyota. They've lost the sporty market for a good long while.

Tested drove the IS-F, nice car. Worth 66K? Probably not...bought the SC430 instead But the luxury of the car is not to be understated. It's a Lexus, so at least you'll know it won't konk out on you after 5 years. But the F is pretty much a harbinger for the whole F line...
I'm very, VERY interested in testing out the LF-A and LF-C when they finally arrive
