Good find! I've seen this type of project on many other cars. Looks great in the photo, but has anyone on this board ever had first hand experience with this?

Well, I am gonna try it on the 94 rebuild...maybe I can get a metallic flake considering I am a manager at Home Depot.... 
That way it may not look like total ass but,it will be a fun experience.

These paint jobs only look good in pics. Ive seen a few of them in person and they just look terrible. Do this only if you hate your car.

Well,considering the 94 is 1/2 blue and 1/2 red...with some dents and dings...I guess I am going to use this as a learning experience. Last night I sanded down the rear end of the car,filled some acorn size dents and primed it. Gonna see how it comes out. My GF had our digi last night so I couldn't take pics but I will take some probably tonight or tomorrow and post them. Honestly, I am thinking with the metallic paint and with the way I am painting it....it really won't look THAT bad. I AM going to rattle can the clear coat though.

I'm gonna take pictures every step of the way...I'll know if it looks like ass soon enough...but...hey...if the worst I do is get rid of the dents and dings and end up having to prime it afterwards cuz it does suck....atleast I'll only have to get it painted.

could u use the same paint in a spray gun....will it come out better with a spray gun.....any body have tips on useing spray guns and what paint and to mix it with

WOW definatly dont do this. metallics are nto gonna happen. the flakes will be all strippey and ridges......just use a spray gun, i mean come on its a celica, not a civic j/k
