Topic #59501 19 posts Started by azian_advanced
J-Spec imports is selling their 2nd st205 this year. their first one got sold in just a few hours. but this one looks to be a WRC model.
however, importation won't begin until at least march 2009 for the lucky (or perhaps not-so-lucky) buyer..

J-Spec Imports: ST205 WRC for sale

it's a lot cheaper than one would expect... but i'll wait til they find one with ABS, sunroof and an 8 speaker stereo (but what are the odds?)
i'd like to see someone jump on this.

how do you bring it into the US, thats the dilemma.

Learned a lot in 10 years...I hardly log in anymore, last loginToday Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOLIf you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. Im alive, better post your questions in the thread below, maybe I log back in2grfe Swapped...Why I chose the 2GR, before you ask read here...A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.@llamaraxing in Instagram is the best way to find me. I hardly log here anymore.
you can't according to US law. but i heard some people have imported rhd vehicles from canada to the US (r32 skylines, 180sx, etc) but i'm not sure how they did that.l
but i know there are a few cdn members who would be willing to spend $8k for one.

It's getting close to when I can import one! Can't wait for next year to arrive and I will be in an ST205!

So as of March/09 I will officially hate the Canadians as well as the rest of the world. biggrin.gif J/p

MAN!!!i was lookin at jap-partner.com too wow let me see what i can do about this..... car looks great..freak just worry about the reg and tax fee..surprise no one has taken it already (people not from the U.S.)
wats up w the rims? n those raiser blocks? dont gt4s come w those stock?
That'd be a sweet buy. It's too bad the U.S. says no vehicles under 25 years of age allowed...otherwise my friend selling his 95 Skyline GT-R would be mine!

1998 Toyota Celica GT2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x41974 Datsun 260Z1997 Subaru Legacy L WagonKind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area. I'm always down for a meet.
if any1 would like a jdm model celica give me a shout i may be able to help! i import cars from japan to the uk quite regulary! i can get any model celica any spec and with or without aftermarket parts!

i would need to know all charges that will need to be paid ie; duty rates and all others in order for me to produce you with a price on a car! most importers will charge $1000 i only charge $600

dont mean to hi-jack this thread just trying to be of service wink.gif
I dunno why people have such a hard time with the options on how to do this...You buy a 94 wreck, cut all the vin #'s...ship them to Japan to get installed then you pay some dude who has a boat that transports cars to sail it over here. BAM,done.
bam federal prison.

yeah, i know. it is HIGHLY unlikely they would catch it at the port, but it would be tough registering it . especially if your state/county/borough/whateva tests for emissions.

nice find...now if some how i can pay off my new car and manage to get $7k by next year..ill be set
Wow... I like this classic SL very much :-D

I'm wondering why import a SL into the states though.... Look the same as what we have tongue.gif

here's a classic:

1975 Celica GT

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And this is pretty much why I'm gonna try and sell mine.
Wow, that's a nice car wit ha good price...I thought the GT-FOUR lnly came out in late 94 though..?
Is it a presale? It's still only 14 years old / illegal in Canada. for 9 months frown.gif

yeah, it's a pre-sale. whoever gets it will pay $5k (vehicle and export arrangement costs) and the remaining balance (shipping, import duties, taxes) when the vehicle is landed.

i never understand why people think its the hardest thing to import jdm cars. just look up a local performance shop that imports and go down and talk to them about what it entails. that and I think that there are more jdm vehicles in the states than you may realize, i can think of 7 different r34s in the phoenix area 2 r32s and r35s 1 s15 1 supra and a crapload of civics and s13 silvias of the top of my head. all legal. just because the FEDERAL law says that 240s and skylines are the only two vehicles lawfully imported and recognized NATIONALLY doesnt mean you can't get other vehicles that fall within your states guidelines.

EDIT: just realised post may come off as an arrogant rant. left the same, but note not meant to be a rant, more so informative and experience sharing
