The hatch itself isn't where the weight is. It's the glass.

If you were to upgrade to a different kind of rear windshield, such as plexiglass, then that along with the CF assembly would make a difference.

thats a really good point, something most people prolly don't think about...

i have the vis cf hatch and there is a difference in weight minus glass between the metal and cf one

Also its not legal to drive on highways etc with lexon glass. So if you happen to get pulled over you can be fined and made to remove it before you can drive again

It looks nice, but idk. I like the look, but from far away it would look like you just got a hatch off of a black car and put it on. So I'd get it painted even though the CF looks nice up close....
